Porsche to replace lock bracket on 4,428 two-door cars worldwide

As a precautionary measure, Porsche is replacing the lock bracket on the front lid of 4,428 two-door sports cars worldwide. 

The problem was discovered during in-house quality checks and was immediately corrected., leading the company to issue the release. Some vehicles of the 911 Carrera, Boxster and Cayman model series have faulty lock brackets and it is not possible to guarantee that the bracket meets the specifications in the long term. However, to date there have not been any incidents.

Owners of the precisely identified vehicles will be contacted directly by their responsible Porsche dealer. Customers should visit a workshop as soon as possible. Porsche has announced that no costs will be incurred and the appointment will take approximately half an hour. The same goes for owners of the said vehicles in India as well.
