Maruti Suzuki Celerio VXi+ on sale for a limited period

A limited edition Maruti Suzuki Celerio VXi+ has been launched. It is offered with the VXi, LXi variant and mainly includes a few cosmetic updates. A dealer level fitment, the VXi+ package has been priced at Rs20,000 but is being offered at Rs 13,000 for a limited period.

The external part of the VXi+ package includes body coloured door handles and OVRMS (also body coloured) with integrated indicators. Inside, Maruti Suzuki is offering a JVC 2-DIN music system, multiple speakers and remote central locking.

Mechanically, there are no changes to the Celerio which means that it is powered by a four -pot 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT (first in segment).

It seems almost obvious that Maruti Suzuki wants to take advantage of the upcoming festival season to add to its numbers, thus the VXi+ package. In the next few weeks, we expect other manufacturers will follow suit and introduce offers on popular models.
