Maruti Suzuki Ciaz spotted during TVC shoot

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan has been spotted during the shoot of its TV commercial at Madhavpur in Gujarat. The commercial will feature a top spec variant of the car and Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh,who by the looks of it, will enjoy a drive by the coast line during the course of the TVC. 

The Ciaz is expected to be offered in six variants (three diesel and petrol) and with two transmission options. The petrol is expected to be the 1.4-litre four pot motor used in the Ertiga while the diesel will be the 1.3-litre Multijet unit in the 90bhp guise. 

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will launch during the course of September and will replace the ageing SX4 sedan (but not the moniker) in the C+ sedan segment. The car will also make its China debut as the Alvio during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. 

It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10.5 lakh and will compete with the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, VW Vento, Nissan Sunny, Renault Scala and the Fiat Linea.
