Exclusive: First spotting of the Porsche Macan S diesel in India

While today morning we reported that the Porsche Macan will be launched in India soon, we were lucky to get a picture of the few examples that have arrived in India. A white Porsche Macan S diesel was spotted by one of our readers in Navi Mumbai.

While this is certainly the diesel model, our sources tell us that the petrol version hasn’t reached our shores yet. The Macan is in high demand worldwide and there were rumours that Porsche has sold out the entire 50,000 units of the SUV allotted for the year. This means we will get very few units of both the petrol and the diesel.

Porsche doesn’t intend to sell the Macan in high numbers either and the vehicle will be positioned as a lifestyle product to justify its high price sticker it will wear. It would be interesting to see how Indian luxury car buyers receive the compact crossover.
