2015 Chevrolet Cruze will be on display at New York Auto Show

General Motors will display the facelifted Chevrolet Cruze at the New York Auto Show this year. This is the final touch-up before the all-new car hits the market in some time. 

The refreshed 2015 Cruze, according to GM, gets styling inspired by the all-new Impala and the restyled Malibu sedan. The front-end now gets a more detailed split front grille surrounded by chrome and a new bumper and LED daytime running lamps on LT and LTZ grades.

GM didn’t make the interior images public, but has said the car will now get new cup holders and the boot release button will find its place on the centre console. The door look switches will be moved from the center console to the front doors. Additionally, the new infotainment system will find place inside with voice recognition and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

“We’ve simply made a great, versatile car even better,” said Steve Majoros, Chevrolet director of passenger car and crossover marketing. “Chevrolet continues to design, build and sell the most compelling small cars in its history and the 2015 Cruze offers more of the features, connectivity and efficiency that are important to today’s customers.”

The Cruze will get the same engines as before in the US market, a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engines alongwith the 2.0-litre oil burner. 

GM has also announced they will be launching facelifted versions of its existing models in India. The Cruze could be one of the refreshed cars from Chevy to hit the Indian market this year. The petrol engines may not make it here and the car may be available with only the diesel powerplant.
