Facelifted Tata Indigo eCS spotted undisguised

The facelifted Tata Indigo eCS has spotted undisguised by the crew at team-bhp. The car has already been spotted testing in Pune on multiple occasions with minimal camouflage and is believed to feature mostly cosmetic changes both inside and outside.

The front fasica features a new grille, bumper and smoked headlamps. Tata has also added a chrome strip on the bonnet as a part of the refresh similar to one seen on the facelifted Nano. It is likely that this design update, intended to give the car a more up market look, will be continued on facelifted versions of its other models also.  While the rear-end  is expected to stay the same, the interiors are expected to feature bits from the Vista D90 as a part of the upgrade.

The Indigo eCS will continue to be powered by one petrol engine and one diesel mill. The former is a 1.2-litre mill producing 65bhp and 100Nm of torque while the oil burner is a 1.4-litre mill producing 70bhp and 135Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheel via a five-speed manual gearbox. 

We expect that Tata will launch the facelifted version of the Indigo eCS within the next few months with a slight revision in prices. The car is quite popular in the fleet market and it is believed that Tata may look in that direction to increase its volumes.
