A fun car this. When introduced, gave a stiff competition to the likes of Esteem and Accent and went on to sell well for the American major. A competent chassis, good ride and comfort overshadowed the underwhelming interior quality and mileage. The 1.6L engine was a delight while the 1.8L diesel delivered on the fuel efficiency figures that lacked in the petrol. The 1.3L motor that does duty now is a decent performer and has aged well in India.
