Hello, everyone!
I'm Charles, and I've recently joined the forums. I write for CarWale, and I quite like cars and motorcycles. If there's anything else you'd like to know, do ask.

Charles, what Sri has said is very true.  But I would still welcome you to the Forums - a new place for you

And can assure you, like I do to others, that you will certainly enjoy participating more & more, and will soon get addicted to it

Jokes apart, like I have said elsewhere (earlier), you are a busy man & have a different role to play (blog) but please participate as & when time permits - the forum will benefit. Thanks.

Hello Charles, do post regularly in the forums too if possible. Looking forward to some worthwhile interactions.

What else to know?

Well if there is one car that you would like to own-which one will it be and why?

@Sri Vsh: You make me blush! It's a nice place. I'll be spending a little more time here from now on

@Pankaj: really sorry about the City thread. Will hunt down the rules thread, read it sometime this weekend for sure.

@Binoy: I'm a little greedy - I'd like two cars.

1. An old Miata, because I hear nothing handles better, and there is something appealling about having the top down on a December morning and finding a small, empty, winding, tree-lined road and trying to perfect heel-and-toe while relishing the wind in your hair.
2. Given the choice, a Tommi Makinen Evo Vl. But I'll settle for the Evo lV one can have in India for as little as 9 lakhs and an old, rust-free Lancer body. I love the idea of a sleeper - no loudmouth exhaust or pearlescent paint job; a clean black old Lancer body (I'd pick the old slx) with GSR running gear. I'll add the active yaw control, if available. Oh, and a lovely whooshy blow-off valve.

That's my garage.

Yes the MX5 series and the handling benchmark that it set-would have loved to owned it expect for the 'fairer gender tag' being associated with it for a long time.

Evo-VI-no contest!!

Maybe the Nissan GTR is a classic in the making though.

Here's wishing you get your 'garage' soon!!

Nissan GT-R's too heavy. I'd prefer an Atom. I like bikes, remember? Power-to-weight over power and weight.

Atom!

Wind-in-throat' experience / free facial massage - LOL

still one of the fastest accelerating cars!(or is that the caparo?)

Have you driven one?

No, I haven't driven one, but it is one of the things I'd like to do before I die: drive a supercharged Atom 2 around Silverstone.

I don't know if the Caparo is the fastest-accelerating car. It's certainly got the most lateral acceleration in a road car - upto 3g - but I believe in the 0-100 stakes, the Veyron still rules, but is beaten to 200mph by the 9ff GT9.

I wonder what an Atom 500 or a Caterham RST-V8 Levante is capable of, though. That should be interesting.
