@Pankaj: really sorry about the City thread. Will hunt down the rules thread, read it sometime this weekend for sure.

LOL.  Let me clarify… I mentioned about the rules in the lighter sense only. The joke, as intended, was to point out the rules to someone who is from CarWale itself – something like me pointing out to Banwari.

Actually, if you observe, while commenting (25/09) on the rules, I didn’t have that City thread in mind at all – in fact, I wasn’t aware of it.   I closed that for further discussion only today (26/09) when I noticed it.

But let me admit… while doing so, I did notice you as one of the participant.

Anyway, I hope you haven't taken it otherwise

Of course not. If I break the rules, who will obey? (We shall NOT talk about politicians clearing traffic jams for their convenience at this point.)

By the way, if you don't mind, can you tell us something about yourself.

I don't mind at all - but what would you like to know about? Ask me specific questions. I shall try to be entertaining!

Entertaining?? LOL.

I'm basically curious to know which place you belong to - that's mainly because your name's different

And if you can tell something about your academic background.

I technically am from Goa, but I've been there exactly twice - once for the 24-hour JK Tyre karting event, and the second time on Tuesday. This time I was there for less than twelve hours. My last name originates from 'penny-farthing', which I am told, used to be an English coin as well as a bicycle at different points of time. It's an Anglo-Indian last name. Judging from the Goan-Anglo blood running through my veins, certain assumptions can be made, but I don't drink at all. I'm quite a disgraceful Goan/Anglo ;) I look, of all things, like a malayalee.

I've got proof of studying till 12th grade (science with biology, not computer science) - I put in three years of grad school at St. Xavier's, Mumbai, where I studied Geology, but I never really ended up collecting that graduation marksheet.

Don't try this at home, kids. I'm an untrained professional.

Oh that’s really great, especially the way you have put it.  I like your sense of humour

Anyway, it’s nice knowing you. Cheers.

Let’s begin with the cars first, shall we? I gave away all my cars, but I’ve kept the 308 GTS. However, the batteries had run out many, many years ago, and the remote control has been misplaced as well.

Last year, my uncle graciously handed me his (now) fifteen-year-old LML Vespa Select 2. Great for wheelies, but a cracked chassis doesn’t make for the safest of scooters, so I’ve stopped riding it. It is now dying a slow, unused death outside my window.

I began driving when I was 21, and I also acquired a licence at around the same time. I’ve spent most of my time in Indicas, although that might just get eclipsed by something we test. I have known to ride a bike since I was 18, but had an epiphany of sorts last February, which is when I REALLY learned how to ride.

I hope to get a bike sometime soon, a car’s out of my budget. Here’s to hoping!

I'm tempted to ask since how long you have acquired the driving licence - but I won't ;-)
