in a 3 month old car after 1st service the reason for such low FE could only be fueling abnormality or some defect in measuring FE in the first place.

tyre pressures are correct- reserve fuel will be around 5-6 liters though am not certain in the case of the i10.The owners manual will be able to help you.

Well, I had a few personal issues - my daughter was not doing well and then it was me and my wife who were passed on with the bug - Over the last couple of weeks I was clearing my huge backlog at office and it was only now that  I can start looking at carwale again.

Anyway, Kartik, how about the sparkplugs mate - did you get them checked??

Cheers,

K Prasad

This cannot be the trottle problem - but how was the car behaving when it was full on Xtra Premium?? Was it having the same problems of stalling very frequently?? To me it seems to be a problem of fuel quality - the bunk where you were getting Xtra premium - better change it and see.

Also, get the spark plugs cleaned and get the gap set.

Since you are saying that the car behaves well when full, better run it properly till it is upto 10 liters of Power and then check if the same problem is persistent.

In any case, get the clutch settings done - seems to be a problem with the Clutch than the trottle.

Regards,

K Prasad

hello kvsk....
last time filled up 31.13 lt Of Power...the fuel Needle went above the "F" mark...den i drove 80 KM wid AC..the needle jus cam to the designated "F"...see how little fuel was consumed...after dat i hv driving totally in the city witd AC always on...the mark has returned to the point 4m where i filled in the fuel..approximatley 300 km hv driven....almost 10 km is the average......Also.tell me the trottle point in easy decription...wats dat...now i will again be refilling the tank 4m the same fuel station..also regarding the spark plugs i wan to ask can dey become really dirty in a new car also..wic u stated earlier to get dem cleaned......

Also i m sory if u felt bad about my remarks in the Color Choosing thread...
and yes
cheers
