      Exterior

       Looks nice, unique

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Rear seat is VERY, VERY uncomfortable (traveling in UP Roadways buses is better). You keep sliding off the seat. Base of seat is narrow. Not good for long distance traveling.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Powerful but very low mileage (7-8 km/L). A real guzzler.

      Ride Quality & Handling

There is a lot of sideways movement of cabin for the rear passengers. A one hour ride can be very nauseous. Some suspension problem, but the local dealer (in Pune) says there is no problem. Even the Maruti 800 is more comfortable in the back.

      Final Words

A bad choice for us, especially since there is no passenger comfort, and mileage is pathetic. We have struggled with quality of service at service station. (having been used to Honda Service for long)

Front seats are fine. Car doesn't struggle in bad surface conditions.

      Areas of improvement

A/c vents needed at the back.

Remote control needed for the music system.

Speakers are exposed in the boot. Good chance of breakage by heavy luggage.

Mitsubhishi is playing smart with the pricing by keeping it much higher that the actual price of say around 17-18L ex-showroom....They think that it a smart strategy but these guys are fools..at this price they will not make a major dent on CRV sales since the prices are almost comparable....God Help them....Great Product Bad Pricing

Exterior Good Style Icon. Eye catchy design.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excpet the materials used for Dash baord (should have had better luxurious finish like wooden or leather touch), it is a spacious SUV with good legroom, comfort seating, cleverly designed boot space etc...

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A zooming experience to drive, very good pick up, smooth and easy to hand gear shift system (all three - Auto or Sports or Paddle Shift Drive modes). OK fuel economy.

Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth driving. Pleasure when on wheels. Easy manuovering.

Final Words Overall a good SUV for anyone who is looking for an SUV with Combined Auto and Manual transmissions, sports mode drive and luxury Sedan comforts.

Areas of improvement Definitely suspension and after sales service. Mitsubishi MUST improve their service network, especially In Bangalore. My experience with the Service station and techniccians is that they have inadequate experience and cannnot diagnoize the probelms. They just do trial and error at customer cost (And know only replacement, no repair concept). Due to the inability of Service technicians I had to become victim of prolonged Suspension problem and lost two front tyres within 26000 kms! Time to improve customer service, Mitsubhishi. You can't sell all by name!

Good Style, Overall a good SUV with loads of Sedan ComfortsVery Poor Service, inexperienced Service Personnel

Exterior Car looks great and masculine. Its big and impressive. Makes a statement where ever it goes. Many a times enthusiast come to car and ask about it. Mine have old grill and some how i liked it more than the new design grill. Front lamps are very distinctly fitted in the bonnet and stand out like popping eager eyes but they look very good :-).

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Outlander have many features and that makes it value for money. Music system of this car is to vouch for & for sure is the best in the class. Cruse control is a very good feature and you would start using it even at small stretches. Front seats have heater to warm them in cold winter morning. Doors can be locked by push of a small button place on door handle. It has passive entry and you just need to carry the key and open the door. Boot space is very good and it has folding seats. Great is that they gave a small switch at the back and seats can be folded just by clicking it! Another very great feature is that you can fold down the back bumper i.e release a leaver and bumper folds and become a part of flat bed boot! Amazing!

And and and.. they have Rockford Fosgate music system fitted in the car! Wow what an experience to hear your loved music on them. I promise that same song will sound different on these systems.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It has CVT system and you do not feel the initial thrust. But as it starts rolling and reaches higher gears you for sure can race ahead. There is no noise inside the cabin and it is difficult to know if car is ON. Reaches 150+ effortlessly.  I have GPS device and checked speedo error and actually there is none! Fuel economy is around 8 with mixed driving conditions.

Ride Quality & Handling Well this is where you feel what is Mitsubishi all about! It is superb to handle and is always under control. ABS is very effective and puts car to a complete halt with out any roll. You would never feel like driving a long car. Drives like a very compact sedan and have enough space inside. Though designed to host 4 adults, it can accommodate 5 adults very easily.

Overall Great SUV with maximum features if compared in the same price bracket. Looks very different and stands out in the crowd. Bought pre-owned Outlander and liked what if looked and felt like. Seller say very simple sentence "what can you do in a Outlander in one year and below 1 lac KM". This is what Outlander is being perceived in the market.

Such a good car but HM failed to make it a big success. Here is small story that speak in itself. Wanted to buy a new car in the range of 20L (ex-showroom) and went to Mitsubishi showroom to test drive Outlander. They where shocked to see a walk-in prospective buyer & looked like they never get walk-ins :-). I was being asked questions on what i do and which company i belong to and asked to fill in a form. Did that and post this i was being told that there is no car in the showroom and they need to get it arranged. Waited for 3 months for their call to come but with no success.

Later found a pre-owned Outlander and bought it immediately. I am sure HM is reading this review.

Final Words Go for it. Least, drive it prior to buying a SUV. But only buy this lovely car if you want to keep it for more than 4 years.  It does not have any resale value :(

Areas of improvement Initial lag, steering feel at high speed.

Build quality, Space, Features, Smoothness, Performance at higher gears, Cruse controlPerformance at lower gears, Light steering at high speed

Exterior Very good looks from all sides, looks more like a personal car than a driver car.the front fighter grill will give a very special look from front.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious front and second row. leather seats look good, but feels less cushioned. two persons can easily lie down if the second row seats are folded down. lot of luggage space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine except for mileage in tight traffic 7.5- 8kmpl. highways 9.5-11kmpl. car wil flyl if we use the paddle shifters. engine is extremely silent and u will be easily mistaken when u stop at signals. gearbox is very smooth and u cant realise gear changes.

Ride Quality & Handling Good. handling will be just like a sedan. its high ground clearance helps to go on any rough road.

Final Words Good car to own if self driven and not particular about mileage, which is acceptable for an suv of this size.

Areas of improvement Diesel version, blue tooth compatibility, reverse camera, and good third row seats and competitive pricing.

Looks, smooth drive, both auto and manual transmission, audio systemMileage

Exterior Great exteriors, the color options are great. Has a very sturdy look and stands out in a parking lot.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seats are plush, one feels very comfortable in long drives too, Excellent AC and the best stero that I have come across. great features like back seat single button tumble, boot slide cover, chiller etc are great.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great power, one does not feel the gear change in the automatic at all, handles very well in all situations, cruize control works like a dream. I got approx 11-12 KMPL in city driving aster the first service.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality, cirtainly better that CRV, BMW X1, Captiva, Endeavour and Forrester.

Final Words Best decision to go for this SUV, full of little surprises, great dealer experience too. I recommend the car to anyone wanting a grea ride and comfort.

Areas of improvement GPRS and Navigator and back camera.

Great exteriors, Amazing Stero system, good interiors, Fuel EconomuNavigator, back camera

      Exterior

      - Solid as with any Mitsubishi Car
      - Not Feminine like Honda CRV :)

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      - Very comfortable front row seats
      - decent mid row seats
      - For child only last row seats.
Interiors are elegant, Not too done up but classy.
      - Audio System is good - Could have been amazing with a woofer :)

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      - Amazing in Automatic, Very Smooth.
      - You unleash the Monster when shift to Manual Transmission. It just grunts like a sports car and in no time you are above 100 Km/h.
      - Fuel Economy was decent for a big petrol car - close to 12 on highways n 8.5/9 in city with A/c and occasional 100+ km/h driving.

      Ride Quality & Handling

-Forget about Potholes, Just glide over them
-You dont feel it is doing 100 km/h + till the time you look at the meter
-Pleasure to drive and park, small turning radius. Except for the length, it will take just the space required to park your sedan - Honda City types

      Final Words

-Gem of a vehicle and extremely professional service by Vivek Motors Ghaziabad. Man they rock. From Vehicle Test Drive to Loan Processing to Vehicle Delivery - Just Perfect Experience.
-Pity Mitsubishi doesnt market this vehicle well. It will beat its more illustrious competitors like Honda CRV, SantaFe etc. Hands down any bloody day.
-Its Ground Clearance is best in its class and though it is a cross over it comes with SUV features like 4WD and Traction Lock.

      Areas of improvement

-Audio System : In the era of touch screen systems, it still has a regular stuff system. It surely works well but could have been damn better.
-They should keep more accessories for OutLander.

Exterior The outlander has unique looks. The front grill is attractive as also the rear sproiler. The bonnet has a distinct "nose" which looks stunning. Head lamps are eye catching.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am highly impressed with the interiors of the outlander. The beige leather seats with a touch of black and beige interios is very appealing. The display and controls all cool. There is loads of space including the boot. The rear handrest could have been a bit better though.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is noiceless. One can easily mistake & try to restart an running engine. The best quality of the SUV is the seamless automatic transmission, which along with a sedan like ride makes the SUV effortless to drive. At 8 to 9 kms in city & 12 kms on high way, the fuel economy is very reasonable as compared to similar products.

Ride Quality & Handling The Outlander has undoubtedly superior ride quality as compared the CRV. The handling is exceptional at high speeds & sharp turns.

Final Words At 22 lacs the outlander has potential to beat its rivals easily. Driving the Outlander will make one an Mitsubishi fan for ever. I would recommend the outlander over the over priced CRV any day..A little aggressive marketing by HM should do the trick for the Outlander.

Areas of improvement A little softer supensions will be helpful. Rear bucket seat option should be considered. On optional foldable third row should be provided in the Indian version.

Exterior Just fell in love with the front and side of the car, the back could be a bit more aggresive and bolder.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors are very stylish, not garrish and loud like the santa fe, a thousand times better than the fortuner (innova like), and of course more modern than the outdated CRV.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Sometimes wonder if the car is ON or off, the engine is so silent, but it in manual for over taking and the outlander takes off like a rocket, though the automatic is a bit sluggish in the low gears, but just a bit. gear change unlike the CRV is seamless, cant tell te shift at all.

Ride Quality & Handling Superb, cant be better, whether at 29 kmph or 120 cant tell the difference, , turning radius is like a small cars.

Final Words Definitely worth every penny i paid for it and surprises me with more everyday. Just the music system, the seamless automatic DSG gear box, the chilling air conditioning makes me find occasions for a long drive.

Areas of improvement Navigation system with rear camera, blue tooth, voice command can add 1% to this awesome SUV!

love the styling, the inteiors, the music system and the comfortlack of navigation screen
