Exterior Very nice looking car for city for the city. I did like it at the very first site.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice space in front, rear is struggling to fit three guys.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Auto is very smooth welldone, Economy - I have purchased it because of Auto gear, cant be bothered about Fuel Economy all the day. Areas of improvement It should be ZXI and ZDI Auto too. Should provide broader tyres to kill the other car suppliers. Read the market trend or call me. India is changing and People like us do do cross comparison.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Beige interoirs,i think doesnt fit for indian conditions as it get dirty easily.black would have looked more premium like in swift.

Ride Quality & Handling Improved than the previous car.sporty suspension.less body roll compared to old.

Final Words I wanted to change my ritz diesel for swift desire.but after examining the car carefully i am in dilemma now.the metal used for body i think is too light which can get damaged by slight hit.also it seems maruti has used polymer plastic for petrol tank to reduce weight.i think this will greatlt affect the safety of the car.we are spending 6.5lakh rupee on a car and still maruti has used low strength metal metal and plastic for body construction.i own a figo petrol which weighs more than desire and feels rock solid.its ok if u get 1=2km less milage but if ur car gets damaged but a simple hit it cost u more money.even my ritz diesel weighs more than the new desire.less weight means less strength metal and more plastic in construction which is not good for indian conditions where accidents and careless driving is more.[even if ur highly careful also some senseless biker is sufficient to ruin ur much cared car].so i think body construction is not worth the money u pay for. also white dash and door pads get dirty easily.should have used more black interior as per my view.

Exterior My first impression was wow the looks are really sexy looks much better than the very costlier cars.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors 100 on 100 the perfect interiors really better than the honda city perfect  . BEST INTERIORS UNDER THE 10 LAKH RANGE now if you want a entry level sedan etios is the best bet i own it i am not criticizing the dzire . when you book the etios you take a look at the rivals when you sit inside the dzire you will be so much impressed by the cabin . it is a 1000 miles ahead of the etios . you will be so much impressed by it that you will forget that the space of the dzire really sucks the space is just like a hatchback . the boot is really small. It should be atleast 400 litres.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is a engine of maruti suzuki so the refinement, mileage, performance are top notch. If the claimed mileage is 19.10 then it mihgt be giving 13-14 kmpl in the city and it will be touching 18 on the highway.

Ride Quality & Handling It is the driver's car you will love driving it.

Final Words If you want to buy the petrol version buy HONDA JAZZ OR THE SWIFT it is having more  boot space, leg space and the prices are the same . it might be giving one the same mileage in city and highway. THE ENGINE IS ALSO EXCELLENT.

DO YOU STILL WANT TO BUY A PETROL COMPACT SEDAN IF THERE IS A BETTER HATCH ? GO FOR THE HATCH. I RECOMMEND YOU JAZZ OR THE SWIFT BOTH ARE EQUALLY GOOD CARS?

I WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO BUY A SWIFT  INSTEAD OF DZIRE. WHEN YOU HAVE TO GO OUT YOU CAN A COOL CAB .DONOT THINK FOR DZIRE AND BUY THE SWIFT.  THESE ARE THE WORDS OF SIRISH CHANDRAN FROM OVERDRIVE WHO I RESPECT A LOT.

 Interiors are also very nice and you get a feel of a luxury sedan. though there is scope for improvement..There is no rear cup holder. No economy speed indicators in the speedometer...

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is powerful and the pickup is very smooth.. But if you are driving in a city like condition economy drops down to 13 or 14 kmpl. till now even on highway i have attained an economy of 16.4..

Ride Quality & Handling handling is superb and you feel complete control on your car..

 

Final Words My final words are that instead of a swift petrol version one should seriously think about the swift dzire petrol version as the difference is only 50000 approx. plus you get an integrated music system with 4 speakers. If you get your car installed with a music system installed outside you will easily push out 14 or 15 thousand rs on a 4 speaker system. so basically difference comes down to 35 thousand as swift doesnt come with a prefitted music system except top model.. If you are not a daily commuter or you commute less then 50 km the petrol version will not bother you much.. Diesel engine are heavy, there tyre wers and ters down more easily, there spare parts are costly, there service is costly, they make more sounds after some time, plus some people are allergic and feel nauseating to diesel fumes just like me. FInally after 3 years if you compare petrol car will cost you less then diesel..plus the waiting time on diesel is very long..

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Just a single word. EXCELLENT. From 0000kms now I have crossed 1,00,000 kms single hand in just 3 yrs. 

Ride Quality & Handling DDI engine Rocks, Superb, Braking alone should be improved, sometimes skids from the road, when applied on high speed 120+ (Hope it will be natural) we should have abs facility.

Final Words DZIRE was my DESIRE. EXCELLENT SEDAN VALUE FOR MONEY. I am regularly servicing my car at ABT Adyar - Very low maintenance - They take personal care to each and every vehicle - Efficient people - Prompt service - Reasonable charges. I should give a mention here. Just because of their proper servicing i am confidently targetting for 2,00,000 kms. Maximum I have spent around 7k for my 1lac kms. Once i changed battrey and lower arm thats it. I have read so many reviews in carwale before deciding this car. Great reviews has helped me to select a proper car. Thanks to the carwale team for the reviews.

Areas of improvement NOTHING SPECIFIC. Will be great if ABS, Power windows and central locking are provided in this price tag.

Engine smoothness, pickup, looks...Braking in high speed.

I was purchased the new swift Dzire car on last year till now it was running quite well. After 20000km clocking lot of noise is coming from AC blower, lot of horn noise can be heared inside the car, lot of noise is coming form the wiper system & difficult to shift the reverse gear.

I was not expected these kind of issue in these class of vehicles at all.

If this continous after one year its raising serious doubt about the quality & reliability of the car. really we need to think.

Its word of mouth that maruti car servicing cost is less compared to other OEM but no where its cheaper because in first paid service you need shell out approximately rs.8500, because they recomand air filter element to be cahnged at every 20000km, how rediculus is that. 

If you need to change in every 20000km where is the reliability & quality & low cost of maintainance.

Good fuel economy & handlingAc blower Noise & difficulty in reverse gear shift

Have bought Dzire ZDI white 2 days back after extensive search and taken test drive of vehicles like rapid, verna, amaze. But finally decided to go for top variant of Dzire in diesel. Earlier i was driving WagonR. 

Exterior Overall looks good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I like overall interior of Dzire very much...Dash board, Music System, Music controls on steering. Have also spent additional 30k on accessories which includes seat covers, RPAS with Camera, Wooden styling interiors, gear lock, steering cover, etc, etc, to make it little luxurious from inside. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Satisfactory fuel economy and gives mileage of around 15 in city. Engine especially turbocharger is impressive as it boosts the pick up of vehicle.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable.

Final Words I would recommend for ZDI variant because additional amount which is incurred for top variant is really worthfull.... ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, Allo Wheels, Defogger etc..etc... A REAL VALUE FOR MONEY CAR.

Areas of improvement Not found any major area where improvement is required in Dzire because it seems very well made keeping in mind the needs of customer.

Interior, Fuel Economy, Good Style & Pick UpNot very major

I own a VXI.

Exterior Exterior looks are subjective. For me, I some times like it and some times i dont like it. Coming to body, Paint goes off very easily, Rear bumper is fiber made. I had to change it almos 4 times in 8 months because it gets dented very easily. I didnt like the tyres. They attract stones very easily, which when get grooved inside the tyre, creates noice. One of the tyre got punctured within 6 months, which is verry unexpected for me.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comes with all essential and some comfort features in VXI itself. AC is good for the passengers in front. But unless you put the AC on 4, rear seat people dont feel it. Front seat passengers have a good leg spacee and comfortable seats.For rear seat passengers, space is not good enough. Music system is average. Other good features are, multi odometer, trip meter, distance to empty(ofcourse it doesnt give right values), electronically adjustable ORVMs etc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is smooth. Very less noicy, Fuel economy is great . I never got less that 15 for my Petrol car with AC on , in the city. But i still feel diesel option would be better if you want to go for long rides. Diesel option comes with a harder clutch. Engine pickup is not good. You dont get good speeds fastly. But once you go to higher speeds, engine works well. Gear box is little glitchy. I hear sounds of it and its not very smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good. You dont feel much fatique in long drives as front seats are positioned better. Handling can be improved though it is good enough. Suspension is not great. So expect good kicks when going on a bumpy road.

Final Words If you care about a petrol entry level sedan car, this is the choice. If diesel car is what you are looking at, drive etios,amaze and Xcent as well.

Way better than competitors, service and maintenance is so good Pro- features,engine performance and mileage Cons- it could have been made a lot safer and the company should have included high safety features
