Exterior XS was then the full-option model and its exteriors are better than the present GLS santro

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good spacing for a small car, good head room, instrument cluster is also very elegent compared to its rival.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox My seven year old Santro is still silent and yet peppy. Responsive engine and easy gear shifts make it fun to drive.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is not very much impressive in bad roads, (bumpy ride in bad roads), on highways its very stable and and you can feel the grip on road.

Final Words I have been using this car for past seven years, still it has fresh feel. Over all a good buy. If you are living in a town near the sea like Kochi, Mumbai, I would advise you to take an anti-corrisive coating.

Areas of improvement Should improve on the ride quaity, Hyundai can also improve on the ride-quality of santro. Santro doesnt provide an awsome mileage but its economical to maintain this car.

Exterior Santro Xing being the Oldest Car of Hyundai is Stylish & gives a huge Confidence While Driving .  This is Not an UGLY Car . Front Grill Makes it more Dashing .

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors Are Good , The Silver tone given in the New GLS Version provides a new sense of Styling and fashion . Plastic Quality is good and up to par . The Space Could have been utilized more effiecetly but still pretty ample Space .

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is where it leads its competitorers . Performance is mind blowing . Initial Pick up is Very Good . Gear Box is Smooth and Refined . Engine is So Silent that Sometimes you Rotate the Ignition Key Twice . Fuel Eco is good . I got 18+ With AC on Highway But With a Constant Speed of 70-75 . 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is good . Handling is Awesome . I drove it on 150 as Well with 6 Guys Still it gave me the confidence to cut through the vehicles . High Speed Driving is Fun on this Car .

Final Words Value for Money Car . A Car to Start your Driving Experience . 

Areas of improvement As Other car Manufactureres are giving so much Emphasis on Styling and Looks , Hyundai Should Also Work on Santro Facelift . But Still , Its the Old Santro Image which is Still Getting it high on charts .

 

Mileage , Space , Pick Up and Handling at high SpeedRear Leg Room

It has just been 5 and half months with this car and it is showing me expected milage and I am already impressed with it's looks and performance. As per the reviews taken by friends and relatives, this car does not give good milage but has very good pickup and gives plasure while driving.

Even though i have learnt the driving just 15days before buying the car.While driving this car I feel no hindrances and driving this car is more pleasure and before buying I was not confident in driving a car but once I used for one week I felt more confident in driving this car without any worry and  I have more stability in driving I dont Know what may be the reason.

Good Style,Better control, confident in driving

In pursuit of Excellence I selected Santro xing GLS by the year dec'2007 & to my Review its the best car to Buy.

It has a smart & stylish look. One thing they have missed in the Overall look. Provision for the smoke jack is not given which does'nt enable us to insert any MP3 players.

My Overall rating for the car is Fabulous.

Renaissance person prefer Santro GLS, Smart look & style both interior & exteriorFuel economy is not as stated - Long Run it gives 15.5 kms/ltr & in cities 13.5 kms/ltronly

First of all it's still a very popular car among budget buyers. Bought it at around 1.5 Lakh with very good Condition and CNG fitted. Servicing is available all over India and service cost is also reasonable including parts availability and pricing is also very affordable. Completed almost 1.5 lakh kilometers and still engine is in stock condition just oil , air and fuel filters changed. Still looks new due to high quality parts by Hyundai and if you take care properly it'll stay in good shape. Installed CNG kit and paid 300 Rs. for CNG for around' 200 km which is very economical. 2012 model still running fine and if you do service on time and drive carefully then it'll go on and on... I am happy with everything :)

When l drive in 100+ in highway, the steering wheel is wobble in 80 to 100 km/h and service cost is affordable. Interior is Spacious, the exterior is looking Outdated, boot space is enough. Overall, the 2008 Hyundai Santro is a good car for a small family.

I own two cars one being a Sedan & the other a SANTRO. I was always of the opinion that a Sedan would be comfortable on higher speed whereas with Santro I should not take such chances.

Caught by my weakness for speed, everytime I tried it on Santro; the results were unbelievable.

Any guesses; what is the maximum speed I could cruise on?

It was 180

This has happened on four occasions on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway wherein the speed for most of the drive time was around 170-175 with intermittent 5-6 kms at 180.

I didn't get scared or worried for any reason like a vibration / noise / wobbling / temperature shooting up; it just zoomed.

OutstandingLeg Space is an issue for tall drivers

I am completely disappointed with the condition in which the brand new Santro GLS was delivered to me by Express Hyundai Velachery, Chennai. I had to give the vehicle for service on day 1 of delivery. If this is the condition of your new vehicles, I can only Imagine what will happen to them after few months of usage. I now regret that I made a wrong choice going for Hyundai. Having spent 4.5 lakhs for a vehicle I am travelling back home by public transport, this is an insult that these guys can never compensate. I will address in all internet & online forums until I get a proper response. To those, Sales and Quality control VPs happily sleeping back home, please wake up!! You  have a very dissatisfied customer who was sold with a defective piece of crap. Below are the issues and I have a copy of the Repair Order given to me by the service team.
1. Wheel Alignment issue  -Vehicle Pull Drift in LHS.
2. Issue in Engine - Engine Check Warning remaining "On".
3. Interiors Malfunction - Front LHS window Switch in broken condition.
4.Tyre pressure issue, weak nozzle.
Apart for the delivery issues, the below additional fittings were not given to me at the time of delivery (as promised by the Sales Agent, when I booked the Vehicle).
1.Parking Senor – not installed.
2.Window wiser – not installed.
3.Seat Cover – Different from what was promised to me at the time of sale.
Hope you can understand the reason for my frustration and feeling of insult, the car that you sold to me has issues in all departments, engine, wheels, interiors, seats, you name it and you can find a defect in it. I HATE HYUNDAI.

It is the best car for the family because it gives real satisfaction. It's engine give maximum power. It looks great .it has a 5-speed manual. It gives a great average. No maintenance. but it's AC is not powerful .it is in uncomfortable in summer. In the city, it is very comfortable. I say old is gold. I love it.
