We recently closed the chapter on one of the most versatile long-term cars to enter the CarWale garage. It has been a rather crazy four months with the Honda Mobilio and in that time we managed to achieve quite a bit with it.

It has been around two-and-a-half months since the Honda Mobilio entered our long term fleet and since then has become our very Swiss army knife. Its MPV design and car-like proportions have ensured that we have used it for a plethora of purposes apart from the usual daily commute and weekly eat outs (binge sessions to be more honest) in South Mumbai.

I have become a fan of compact MPVs as they are the closest things to an estate car that we get in India today. However, I did not always think this way though, at least not until the Honda Mobilio was given to me to use as a long term car. Roughly smaller than the Honda City, it offers the practicality of an MPV but with the proportions of a regular-sized sedan; a glorious combination in the face of a tight parking spot that was assigned to me when I moved to my new apartment block.
