hey charles great review but.... i wanted to get this clear!!

your statment here says that ABS and airbags are standard across all variants.

"the Fabia is the only small car to offer the middle rear passenger a three-point seat belt. In addition, ABS and airbags are standard on all variants – something that only one other hatchback manufacturer offers today"

as far as i know they used to offer only the airbags and not the ABS. whats the latest now .

is it true about what u wrote??  and are you sure??

and also whats the reason for poor resale value of petrol. it can touch 160 kmph easily!! is it just because its a 3 cylinder engine??

it will be very helpful for me if you could reply!

regards

anurag.

Its not about how fast it can go, but also about how soon it can get there.  If we're talking top speed, there's this 2002 Indica Petrol belonging to a friend with 100,000+ on the odo that can still do 165kmph on the speedo quite comfortably.

Sorry for the delay, Anurag - that was an error on my part. Airbags are standard, ABS is available on the top variants.

thanks for your reply. and thanks for clearing out the confusion. so my info in not wrong!

for a few minutes i was excited you know! i like this car but its very strange if you have airbags and no ABS. they should provide it anyways in the lower trims just to make it more safer and it would be the safest hatch around these days!! they should be able to when polo will comes!! i hope they reduce the prices as more localisation of parts kicks in and with reduction in production costs. i hope it happens soon!

Thanks for the review/photos.  Any chance of test-driving 1.4 petrol?

The petrol 1.4 is now made to order only, so there aren't any press cars available. We'll test one as soon as it becomes available, though. It's on our list
