An unexpected visit to the Fiat showroom here is my tale.

Prologue

My aunt (beginner) required a used car (Budget: 1.5Lakh) for her daily use. The hunt began, lack of option prompted toward assessing for a new car.

Requirements: Petrol or Diesel, 5 Seated, Huge boot, Good driving position, fully loaded, Safety factor (Air bags, ABS)

Options: Ritz Vxi , I10, I20, WagonR and Santro.

Brand: MarutiShowroom: R.K Motors, Somajiguda

Experience:

A cold welcome at the entrance. The receptionist appointed a sales rep for guidance.

A good seating position is essential.

Checked out Ritz, A-Star, Wagon R, and Estillo to find the suitable car with best driving position out of the lot.

A-Star was first but rejected due to low seating.

A jump into the Ritz almost finalised the decision but was put off by the rear and waiting period.

Next was the Zen estillo which had a good driving position but was due for an upgraded.

This is when the Maruti started to get on my nerves. I asked them to show me a wagon r. First they took me to the storage where there was a WagonR but locked. So we had to go to the godown in the adjacent building basement. After a long walk we go to see it which was such a major disappointment with the features and styling.

On the way back to the showroom it was decide either WagonR or Ritz vxi .A quotation on my company name was requested. This is where they got on to my nerves by making me wait for 30minutes.I sent this time explaining advantages and disadvantages of all the above cars. As there was no response we decide to leave. Just when I reached the exit the sales person came running which I received silently. After exiting it was decided then we would not go for a maruti seeing the response.

Brand: Hyundai

Showroom: Talwar Hyundai, S.P.Road

Experience:

On the way back home we decided to go visit the Hyundai showroom at RP road Secunderabad .I had already taken an appointment with the sales representative.

On reaching the showroom I was directed to the sales person.

The Xing even though good was an old car.

The I10 is good but small boot and cannot seat 3 in the rear.

The i20 was the only which was the one attracting us but not on display.

So we decided to take a test drive of the i10 and i20.Sadly the i20 was not available, had a go at the i10 following the tips to consider during a test drive.

I10 test drive review

I10 has a good Ac and interior.

The engine was responsive and had a good gear box to support it. Suitable in the city traffic.

On reaching the showroom I definitely wanted to see the i20 1.2 petrol so we went to the godown and had a look at the I20 1.2 petrol magna which clean bowled us.

It was decided that we would book after test driving the I20 after 2 days. So I got the respective quations.

I felt that the dealership was not bad. I would give it an 8/10.
