FIAT Linea 1.6 Diesel Soon

Have learnt from Reliable source that Fiat is planning to launch 1.6 Diesel by NOV 09....

Looking forward for the same....Hope they Improove on the Plastic by then...

the fiat CEO strangely denied this , and said that the 1.6 diesel will not be launched at all

Wel it seems 1.3 has just been launched & FIAT does not want to loose out on the customer base it has created...

But as far as my source is concerned which can not be named,  I am quite sure that they plan to launch in NOV 09.....

in that case people will have one more good car added to the competition. If priced well it will be a very good buy and a good competition to fiesta, dzire and the likes.

guz any confirmation on when we can expect the 1.6 Mutijet Linea?? Its almost Nov'09

how much power it will genrate????

It's going to be the 1.6L MJD FGT with 105bhp. Europe has a VGT with 120bhp also - I guess that version will make it's away here after another one year as a 'new refreshed Linea"

ACI reports that a new gearbox for this engine is under developement so the car wouldn't be here till last half of 2010. In that case, I don't think the 1.6L will be on display at the expo.

i checked from customer care ...they said being launched shortly
