Hello Members,

I am using Maruti Swift Vxi, which is 3 years old and have run 53000 kms. I am planning to retrofit a CNG in the car as I am expecting my driving would increase to 1500+ km per month.

Want help in this regard:

  • Which Kit to buy
  • Good dealers/ installers for the same in Delhi
  • Any precautions/ or things to be considered before getting a CNG fitted in the car

Thanks,

Naveen

Hi Guys,

Just want to confirm is advancer and TAP are the same thing (probably sound funny to few of you, but I am new to CNG technology). Do I require one in the Swift, I generally drive in Delhi NCR

I called few of the dealers, all Govt of Delhi approved. 2 of them proposed Lendi Renzo CNG kit with Lambda and Advancer for Rs 30000/- and other two proposed Tomasetto with only Lambda for Rs 39000/- (none with registration cost). What could be the reasons for such a price difference?

Regards,

Naveen

Hi Naveen ,

Recently I have fitted Tomesto Kit on my Esteem from Eco Gas Patparganj. They have 8 branches in Delhi.  Till now my experience is good & I also didn't hear any -ve feed back for them.

Following are detail of Kit which i have fitted from them

Lambda + Timing Advancer = 3000/-                                                                             (If you would like to go for Tomesto Lambda then you need to pay 4500/- to 5000/- extra but i wont recommend you for this as 5000 is not worth of that)

13 Kg Cylinder ( 65 Liters - Many Shopkeeper call that as 14 KG ) - 1500/- Extra for 13 KG (Normal is 12 KG)

Kit Cost - 24000/-

Total 28500/- with out RC endorsement

I also have number of Vimal from Eco gas patparganj , if you have any further query you can talk with them 9310982322.

Hi Chander ,

RC endorsement fee is different in different states.

In Delhi actual fee for RC endorsement for CNG is around 600-700/-

For RC endorsement Eco Gas were asking 3500/- extra But I think it can be reduced by500-1000/- if you bargain.

i think u should go for the kit suggested by eco gas, they have a govt approved list, even i got my car fixed from them and leave the rest on them but do make sure that you clarify each and every part which will be installed in your car and then go ahead, i got my car cng fixed from ecogas, badarpur and had loads of problems with the pricing aas their sales executives were fighting within themselves, otherwise their technicians are good, I say tht bcoz i have a ford ikon which is a difficult car to run on cng but they have done it succesfully, i would advise you to get bot lambda and tap n u would notice better mileage as well as performance equivalent to petrol.
