Is the final pricing out ?

@ anant - The final pricing isn't out yet since the launch of the car is on the 14th of July. However, we hope that it will be between 3.5 - 5 lakh ex-showroom since the Micra will do battle with the likes of the Swift, the i10 and the Figo. Pricing will be critical for them to gain volumes and mass acceptance.

Any idea on the 0-100 times? top speed? 30-80 in 3rd gear?

Also, how does it compare with Polo/Punto/Figo/I20/Swift/Ritz?

@ Adi - We weren't able to put any timing equipment on the car since this was strictly a preview drive. We should be getting a press demonstrator soon on which we can do some performance runs and we'll keep you posted. You'll find that the car is quite comfortable to sit in. The punto / polo / i20 do seem to have better handling at high speeds, but the Micra isn't that far behind - no modern car is. They are all built around such similar benchmarks that all that really separates them today is brand, design, some of the brand & product DNA and the ownership experience. Hope you've booked an XV?

Yes I have booked an XV model...

I do not agree with your statement that the I20 handling is good..it is really poor and the steering is super light without any feedback..that is the reason I rejected the I20.

How does micra compare with others in terms of interior quality/space and build quality and ride quality?

Without equipements, how do you feel the accelaration? The engine seems to be peppy and responsive. And since Micra is much lighter than other cars, I expect very good acceleration similar to Swift and much better than Polo/Figo.. can you comment plz

WHEN IS THE AUTOMATIC VERSION EXPECTED, TODAY ONLY I10 COMES IN AUTOMATIC....SO NO CHOICE WHEN IS NISSAN GETTING ONE.

Micra is a nice car guys...east or west Nissan is the best...i was sitting in a taxi which was an old nissan car ( dont know the name of car )in katmandu..it has a meter reading of 9 lakhs kms..the driver told me thast car didnt give any trouble in these 9 lakhs kms..only servicing,tyres,brake pads,clutch plates n some minor got changed in that..

nissan has a very nice engine i feel...

i ll definately buy micra................
