I have booked a swift vxi. Is it necessary to install Sunfilm in my car? I personally feel that Silky Silver with white seat covers will look good without sunfilm. Also which Car security system should one go for

Dear Prathamesh, Installing Sunfilm does three things: 1. Protects you from direct sun-light/UV rays, 2. Ensures some level of privacy and 3. Looks good to some people. The first point is genuine and important in places where god sun becomes very angry so often. The other two points hold no importance at all. So if you are concerned about sun-light then have it installed otherwise not.

Sorry, we couldn't notice this part of your question. Xenos is the best in India. Far better than AutoCop.

Today I had been to the car Authorized Dealer for Xenos. He showed me some security kit from Maruti. I dont need it. Can a Car Accessesory Shop from whome i will buy xenos be able to install it flawlessly to its full potential??? Whome should i get it installed & does it require opening of my car to a large extent or can it be done with ease without much diassmbeling? Also does installing sunfilm from a local shop require removing the Glass before installation? or it can be installed completly & cleanly with glass intact?

Dear Prathamesh, Yes, you can visit a good car accessory shop in your city and get the Xenos. It can be fitted very easily without much tempering with the car. Any professional accessory shop will do it for you, don't worry about it. No, sunfilms are installed without removing the car, they are transparent films and can be easily attached to the glass. White towels will look good in a silver Swift, more depends on your own choice.

Sunfilm reduces penetration of sunlight / UV rays by 10% or so (depending upon the type/quality of sunfilm).  Therefore, with or without AC, the car will stay cooler.  So it indirectly enhances the AC effect (not perfomance).  Besides, it adds to privacy & looks of the car, as stated earlier by Shri Banwari.  However, there's RTO/Police restriction on use of some dark sunfilms, as it prevents inside view from outside (security point of view).  So it would be prudent to ensure that you go for not-so-dark sunfilms - you can go for the ones approved by RTO.  As such dark sunfilms don't look good.
