New Bumper + Painting cost for Swift VDI - Please Advise

Hi,

The front bumper of my Swift VDI has been damaged and it needs to be replaced.
I checked in maruthi showroom (pratham and bimal) service center and they told me it would cost around 6000/- for new bumper and metallic painting.

I checked in a maruthi service center ouside and they told me a price of 4500/- for the same.

Can anybody tell me, would there be a difference if i get the bumper fixed from outside and is 4500/- a feasible price in bangalore?

Workmanship outside is not a problem with good/reputed garage.  The charges will always be less than that of the dealer.

I guess, you will be lodging insurance claim.

If Bumper is having Dent (went in) then you can pick Repair option too. If its in parts than you have no option but to replace.

You can try any other reliable workshop and you can save some money.
