FIAT LINEA selling on a premium

now,it's official that fiat has called for a premium of rs.5000 for it's linea cars in FTA color,its not a premium demanded at the dealer end,but from the company.the last time any car was sold on a premium(to my knowledge)was maruthi800,17 years back,so after nearly two decades another car is sold on a premium

besides this,FIAT has increased the price of LINEA thrice, in 6 months,this at a time all the other manufacturers slash the prices and linea commands a waiting period of more than a month when fiestas and vernas are available off the shelf

so for all the noises made wondering if FIAT was really doing well for all the noises made(fiat never made a noise,no advt on tv or papers for more than 20 days),this should be the answer 

It would really improve the Company's credit in the Market and attract more customers. Yesterday I saw a long queue at TATA showroom, now I understand they were going to book the Lenia before next price upgradation.

Not sure about Premium for LINEA. But Swift Desire is definately being sold on premium.

It's great that a FIAT product is getting premium. But I would like to share one incident of company's policy. During last week of September, due to higher depreciation claim, all the dealers in Ahmedabad was out of stock and they have sold whatever models / colours available in stockyard at any price. Fiat Linea Dealer was also facing same problem. He was not able to give perfect date for delivery of last despatch he will receive from the company. In all this HO HUUUMMMM, I see an advertisement in the newspaper for 10000 exchange bonus for Linea. But when claimed to the dealer, dealer was laughing on us, saying Go To company to claim the same. So company need maturity in selling the cars and adverising. all the best to FIAT.

Yes, and they should keep on raising the premimum as the sale go up. It doesnt matter much showing maturity in selling cars and advertising. They should concerntrate on price hike first. It will give better results in the coming months.

This seems to be a hike in terms of a specific color, isn't it the norm all over the industry, where for example metallic colors sell for a premium?

but the other colors in linea like minimal grey and the beige color are also metallic colors,but there is no premium on those colors

This is specifically for just one colour where one has to pay 5k extra ( may be bosa white or pearl white ) . GM is also charging 5k more for the same colour.

The premium is only on the Fox trot Azure color.
