Thanks to the members of carwale for guiding me to take the delivery of i20 magna Silky Beige colour on 1st nov'09. Till date I have driven @300 km and very happy with the performance & total package of the car. I was bit confused to choose between Ritz, Swift & i20, finally went for i20 after getting lot of informations & suggestions from carwale members.

Thanks to you all & if any suggestion or information required from my side, it is always welcome.

Thanks to all!

Pankaj,

You are always spot on. Yes, it's 1.2 Magna petrol. My running is not much, say 300 km/ month, hence preferred petrol. I have driven around 300 km till date and very satisfied with the performance & total package of the car.

I have upgraded my car from Zen Lx 98 model to the present car. Had driven @ 90 Km one day on highways & speeded upto 70 km/hr, not felt at all the engine is underpowered. Even on neck to neck city drive I haven't faced any problem but yes lot of gear shifting required to maintain the speed-gear combination. On the day of purchase the hyundai tech guy suggested me to keep speed - gear combination as follows:

0 - 10 kmph -- gear 1; 10 - 20 kmph -- gear 2; 20 - 40 kmph - gear 3; 40 - 50 kmph - gear 4 & above 50 kmph - gear 5; he also suggested i should not exceed more than 70 kmph till the 1st servicing. i followed his instruction & faced no lag of power but yes, as I have said have to lot of gear shifting in city traffic condition. But, it's ok, as i'm used to of doing the same with my old Zen.

Mileage I haven't checked accurately but it's giving me @ 12-14 kmpl in City+Highway condition with AC.

Waiting period for the car is 30 days, but one can get it in 25 days on persusation with the sales guy. But waiting period is @45 days for 1.2 Asta/ Magna in white colour. I have taken Silky Beige & it's taken 28 days to reach showroom after booking.

i haven't get any offer or so on i20 as per sales guy's version the car is new 7 on demand. But I'm able to manage to get only mud plates & floor mating+Rubber mates from them & on persutaion to get decent seat covers from them on my 1st servicing.

Regarding accessories, I have fitted steering cover in addition to mud plates & floor mating.

In built sound system is very good with only drawback of no USB support.

These are my buying experiences & observations till date. Will come back soon with some photo.

Measure the mileage for city & highway separately.  As you know, tank-full-to-tank-full method is the right / most accurate method for us to follow.

Thanks for updating.
