@pranesh,

yes your clutch plate is burn halfly,

do you explan to delear about what u do with swift. if yes then go to some other service center and dont tell him u do this.

anotherwise u must be pay for clutch plate.

i hope you understand

remember dont use a clutch for pick-up, use gears only and clutch is only for gear shifting

Clutch plate may not require to be replaced - in one such incident while parking. But do get it checked. If it requires to be replaced, you may have to bear the cost, as the dealer would understand the cause of damage. He may / may not accommodate.

Pranesh,

its better for your car and yourself to change the clutch plate as soon as posible, and dont drive car in long route speccially in mountains and cruve roads,

just visit at service point and tell him, you facing some problem in pick-up, clutch timing, and burning smell is coming, i dont know why may be car having some problem, some times gears not smooth too.

this problem not came suddenly slowly slowly its feels, so kindly inspect the car and remove this problem in front of me, im wanna see whats the problem is?????

They try to make you fool, they adjust  clutch setting and gear setting , but you stick on your point, it will be take 2-3 days to convence them. our moto is we need new clutch plate because in long journey its risky.........

Pranesh

Do you face any problem when shifting gears?  Is the gear engaging near top of the clutch pedal travel?

If "No", then there should not be any serious problem.  As you had said that the "clutch burn" has happened only once, there would be minimum damage to the clutch plates.  Ask the MASS guy to check clutch pedal play and adjust clutch accordingly.

 Dont ride the clutch anymore. As Madhur had said - clutch should only used for changing gears and not for keeping the car stationery on an incline or to get "Pickup" without shifting to lower gear.

Never mind what others say, do whats right for that moment!

@ H Selva Kumar - If the gear shift is a little hard and while pressing the clutch a noise comes out, what does it mean? My clutch plate is burned but m not sure how much, a mechanic nearby asked me to get change the clutch plate as well as the pressure plate. Is there any way by which I can know how much damage has been done to them and if there is any requirement to get it changed.

My clutch plate suffered when I accelerated hard to take my car out of a sandy pathhole in the mid of a farm...
