Hello All,

Is anyone using the above mentioned model. I am not sure if the tuner will work in India. Can anyone please help to find out if this will work in India?

Also while browsing through the internet (on the pioneer India website), there is a very similar model called AVH-P4150DVD. The picture, features specs etc all looks exactly the same as 4100, but I guess there is a diff in freq range..

Now why would Pioneer bring out 2 models with the same faetures and diff names ...this is the reason I am thinking whether AVH-P4100DVD will work in India or not.

Thanks in advance for all the help

Cheers

Coz different country marketing gimmicks, generally, company introduce same product with slightly different model no like the case u listed. USA model also works fine in india except u may miss some fm radio channel limits to different radio freqency range in usa model.

Go for indian model as it carry warranty & easy to repair.

Thanks guys.

@Dr.Abyshines - This HU (4100) is costing 550$ in US. Also if you want to get a BT adaptor (BT200) along with it - in total you may get it for about 650$

@Djp11 - when you say I might miss some FM radio channel limits - what does it mean? will I not be able to tune into any radio stations in India - I drive in PUNE roads and am not sure what the frequency is out there!! - As per going with Indian model, there is a significant price difference when you get it from India!!

Can the gurus confirm compatibility issues

Many Thanks

This is what I discovered in both models

4150 - Frequency range ...................... 87.5 MHz to 108.0 MHz

4100 - Frequency range ...................... 87.9 MHz to 107.9 MHz

And most of the FM channels in India fall within this spectrum, so I guess from a Tuner perspective, I am safe getting a 4100 and getting to work in India.

Now - for DVD playing.

4150 - Region - 2,3,4

4100 - Region - 1

So I guess the DVD which we get in India will not play in this player.!!!!!

Correct me if I am wrong guys
