I want to upgrade my tyre from 175 / 70 R13 (tubeless) to 185 / 70 R14 (tubeless) for my Indica Vista Safire.

Will it help me to reduce the body roll on highways while cornering and also will it reduce the mileage?

I really want to reduce the body roll on highspeeds. Please give your inputs. Thanks

Hi

The ideal tyre upgrade for Vista is 185/60R14

Will it help me to reduce the body roll on highways while cornering and also will it reduce the mileage?

A definte yes the body roll will be reduced and handling and controll will inprove a lot.Millage might be reduced by 0.5 Kmpl.

I would suggest u go for a good set of 14 inch alloys(Aura,Apolllo) which will cost u around Rs 4300 per alloy and 185/60R14 preferablly Michelins Pilot Preceda PP2 or XM1+ which will cost Rs 4500 per tyre

Thanks Bhardwaj

Can't I go with 14 inch steel wheel instead of alloy? Steel wheels available in the market?

And ...the steering will be more stiff since its a hydraulic power assisted?

An increase from 13" to a 14" wheel: would that have any effect on the initial accelaration (0-40) , especially with respect to the Safire ?

Not only the wheel size but also the tyre size/profile is changed here and hence there would be only be marginal if at all any effect on acceleration.

Plan to upgrade the tyres on my Accent from the stock 175/70 R13.

I am going for Tubeless for sure.

Do I need to increase my Rim size to 14" or continue with the stock size? What are the advantages? Any particular advantage with alloys?

I am self diving my Accent mostly in the City (Going to office and back), rearly on highways. Sometimes drive to airport in hyderabad. No long trips.

Most of the times there would be no passengers.
