Guyz i read many reviews regarding scorpio as well as safari, & found that scorpio takes over the safari. but, scorpio is unable to take the eyecatching looks from safari. new muscular look of scorpio is really very poor. i took the test ride of safari 2.2 vtti & found it really great but on the other regarding the poor services & low quality of tata i am afraid of purchasing safari. so please help me out to sort out my confusion between looks v/s quality. I am planning to purchase either of these two vehicles for long tours therefore also reply me with the reliabilty of safari as well as scorpio.

The scorpio will be able to offer you better reliability and maintenance compared to the safari.

The latest micro-hybrid also makes a compelling case for itself.

If waiting is an option-do wait for the Skoda Yeti also(not a true SUV-but still might turn out to be a good car).

comfort & safety is the prime objective, but royality & looks also matters, i didnt liked the front look of new muscular scorpio .

Looks can be subjective

Guys my 2 cents..i owned a scorpio for 4 years and must say i pretty satisfied with it. When i decided to upgrade i was divided between Scorpio and Safari. Almost everyone advised me against buying a Safari and most forums also encouraged me to either go for a scorpio or a Innova. I went ahead and bought a Safari. One year later...this is my story

SAFARI ROCKS...i am totally in love this car and i am glad i wasn't influenced by these forums and the naysayers . Scorpio is a decent buy and you wont go wrong by buying it...but Safari is nirvana.

Having owned both, in my opinion Safari is the king !! its gives me an adrenalin rush even after a year..i now know about 20-30 Safari owners and the all feel the same.

i aint saying buy a Safari..but dont get influenced by nay sayers..all the stories abt Safari is perception..half the guys writing that here have never driven or owned a Safari...once who have...will only have good things to say..

Safari Rocks! Love the age old looks. Looks royal and has a quiet fuel effiecient beast underneath the hood.

Still dude I have an innova. Went in for comfort rather than the charm of owning and taming a safari. So individual choices are subjective. Kindly prioritise ur factors.

Safari has become way too boring now.

Same old Whites that are so common.

Quality inside the cabin is no justice either.

Besides SCORPIO from the time of its inception has kept its brand image and have always been more upfront in ENGINE Capabilities,i mean MAHINDRA kept on refining the engine and they never left a stone unearthed for this beast to be upmarket and refined at the same time.

The new SCORPIO looks and feels way better than a SAFARI not just inside the cabin but a great engine under the hood as well.

But sometimes its hard to put temptations aside.

No vehicle is a failure, but do have their own shortcomings.

Or else everyone will end up buying them.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
