Hi All,

I recently opted to buy a Chevrolet Spark from Regent Automobiles which is near to Ali Gaon in the month of August 2009. The Sales man was good and due to his good dealing sense i payed Rs 25000 as the booking amount for the car, however due to unfortunate circumstances i was not able to purchase the car. I spoke to the Dealer and explained him the problem. First he told me that the money would be returned then he told me that Rs 3800 would be deducted as cancellation cost, now the cancellation amount has gone upto Rs 5000. I am making numerous calls to the dealer Mr Arjun and also to the sales man Mr. Pradeep Walia, however no one is picking up the calls. Please guide me.....

I request everyone in the forum not to opt for Regent Autombiles which is at Ali Goan near to Badarpur

Regards

Sushanto

Go to gm motors website gmi.cac@gm.com and make complaint to gm motors although it will also may work or not because when after purchsing spark at Delhi i made question mark on logistic charges of rs6000 by gm motors dealer they failed to give satisfactory reply first then told me that these logistic charges are for key chain, rto charges, soft toys etc etc  and when i again put a cquestion they decline to reply my mails so man its india where everybody is trying to make fun of rules but even then best of luck and keep on trying

Well if nothing is written then it's even better for you as they do not have any basis to charge you any amount if they have not given in written. Forget consumer court...you can even go directly to police if they do not reply you any sooner. Atleast threaten them of police!!

Even I cancelled one of my booking and in the Performa invoice they (it was a Maruti dealer) have clearly written, the booking amount with interest will be refunded in case of cancellation. But in another point they have mentioned if the cancellation is initiated by the dealer due to any fraudulent or improper documents submitted, they can charge the cancellation amount of Rs. 250/-. But while cancellation they deducted Rs 250 but I fought with them showing the terms and conditions and finally got my total money back. I guess there should be some terms and conditions in the Performa invoice. Please double check. In no case you have to pay such a hefty amount of Rs 5000.
