I usually prefer the road as the train takes more time in the routes I travel.

Shops: Have only buying experiences here. I guess you can check Minister's road for the best deals.

The prices mentioned are without bill & warranty.

Sairam,

Did you get a chance to check with your dealer regarding that paint job for the ORVM and door handles?

Cheers,
Naveen

@Ami,

in the case of components, there is something called a crossover switch right? Where does this go? i mean is this hidden out of view?

The crossover is usually hidden. Some ppl do display it also. That needn't be much of a concern.

@Naveen,

     I went to the showroom to check out my car, asked the executive, he said it is possible to color the door handles and ORVMs. They have done it for a Punto Active White color and said the finishing was perfect. But this option is available only for the white color. They have not received the matching paint color for the other colors it seems. btw, im getting delivery tomorrow

Any petrol punters here? would like to really know about the performance of the petrol version. I have seen posts here about the diesel only.

The 1.4 liter DOHC 89 horsepower petrol needs to be worked to perform (115 nm @ 4,500 rpms), and it's a heck of a lot of fun to. The petrol is smooth and revvs freely all the way to its 6,600 rpm redline .Driveability is better than in the Honda Jazz 1.2, the 2nd gear pulling clean from 10 kph (with 3 passengers & full luggage onboard) all the way to 80 kph, and proving to be a vital tool within the city. Even the 3rd pulls clean from in-town speeds. The engine sounds awesome at high rpms (classic Italian engine sound), however the noise gets unduly loud at speed and regular joes (non-enthusiasts) will find it very annoying.
