I have a 5.5 yrs old Santro Xing XG. I couldnt start the car one morning, I realised that the engine wouldnt make any sound/noise while turning the key. It was taken to the garage by the Hyundai service guys after push start and I was told that the Solenoid Switch needs to be changed (and this problem apparently is very rare and no reason for the failure was mentioned). The spare is not available and I was told this would take about 7-10 days. Another service guy from the same garage advised that I should change the complete assembly itself instead of changing the switch. Anyone has something to share or advise on this issue? (my car maintenance knowledge is low)
