@Sagar

You can easily decode the chassis No.  It is 61XXXX9P*XXXXX. Here 9 is year, P is Pune and * will be the month of mfg, Jan starts from A (I is excluded to avoid confusion). Intial XXXX is manufacturers code and final XXXX is serial No.

Hi,

I have created a seperate thread for my car but still thought would continue here .its going to be alomost a month since i bought my car ( vista qjd) and my observations are asa follows.

1.Mileage 13km full in city with 50% AC

2.There is still a squeaking sound from the tyre side and its more audible when the car is moving slow

3.when i press throttle more ,the sound from engine increases more ,which i dont know if its common. i mean in 1st gear when i reach 10-15 the sound gets louder ,2nd gear 35-40 ,3rd gear 40-60.

even in 40 when i go at around 70-80 speed the sound gets louder .

Can anyone tell me if these observations are OK ? as in next week i will complete one month and due for first service i want some suggestions from you guys . Please help as you always do

The speed-gear ratios should not be so high.  Shift to 2nd at a speed of 10-15, 3rd at 20-25, 4th at 35-40 & 5th at 50-55.  On highway, you may accelerate a little more in 3rd & 4th gears.

The engine will sound much better/smooth & the mileage will improve.

To Amrut,

Excellent review of the car. The language itself shows how happy you are with the car. I would rate it as one of the best user written reviews I have read, not just on Carwale, but on any forum.

Great Work. Happy Motoring.

Hi friends

Just an update regarding the FE and the economics involved in it.  I got 18.5Kmpl average. Total 604Km in one tank full. Out of 604, the initial 300Km (full AC) was on highways and rest in normal city driving (Fifth gear not used in city driving).

During re-fuelling, tank was full in 32.6Ltr X Rs 36/Ltr =  Rs 1174 for 604Km comes to less than 2 rupees per km.

Till date I Have kept records of all re-fuelling since purchase date and the average for 4000Km comes to 17.5Kmpl= Rs 2.05/Km.

Can any body give comparizon for CNG, LPG, Diesel & Petrol in form of Rs/Km?

On CNG the running cost is roughly 1/3rd & on LPG 2/3rd of petrol.  Running cost on diesel is 45% cheaper than that on petrol.

@Pankaj

Dose it mean Diesel is the second best cheapest fuel?. On the other hand what are the benefits we get over CNG?? (Like power/torque/engine life/emissions etc)
