The good news is I got my car on 25th August. Sorry for non reporting/replying for almost one week, as I was out stationed 4-5 days. and there after bussy with too much work.
The Review:-
Overall buying experience was nice, Rathod Motors-Vapi-Gujarat had sticked to their commitments and prompty delivered the car. One day prior to delivery (24-08-09), I visited to showroom for PDI, The detailed write up on this forum helped me lot and I was quick & confident to check up the minute things, however I cannot found out any flaw in car. AC make is BHER, and to my surprise it worked superb in hot afternoon. The ODO was showing only 7Km. I took around 30min TD with family and no one from back seat complained about AC. The manufacturing month I decoded from chassis No. is Aug-09. I was accomponied by one of my friend who watched and suppourted me.
On the D day 25-08-09, I took a last look on car and the paper work completed in 1½ hr. The sales manager was attending me and he handed over keys with a small ceremony, photographs etc. Though ceremony was not up to my expectations, I appreciated their promptness.
My wife and children performed a small pooja and distributed sweets to show room guys. There after my wife offered a small gift to the the sales girl. And now we were ready to take off.
As written earlier, I have valid driving license from last 10 years, but seldom driven cars. I had joined driving classes one month prior to car delivery and was practicing over MS Alto. I was little bit scared while starting driving. But as I moved ahead, gained the confidence. Was not taken professional driver/friend along, as I wanted to drive off my dream car from showroom by own. It was 30Km drive from showroom to my home almost 20Km on highway. Here I had all the praises for the CAR. Superb control, low noise, just glides over rough patches, superb comfort for driver and all occupants, clear drivers view. Big stance, great pick up and many more things. The music system is also decent and delivers soothing sound.
From the day of delivery I travelled aroud 500Km till time. Every early morning, myself and my wife are practicing for around 10-15Km. FE I can assume around 15Kmpl. This include our learners driving at lower gears/AC etc. The only thing which bothers while driving in city traffic is its KING SIZE. Today also I am little scared while taking it through tight spots. Any way, I am confident that I would be an expert driver soon by practice. VISTA IS REAL VFM
I really want to thank by heart to CARWALE forum, where I learned lot of things, taken decisions based on experts reviews, got accqented with the technologies in car engines, learned about maintenace issues.
