you get a nylon cover with wax coating to prevent water from seeping through

whats best is that it has a zipper in the driver door, so if you forget something inside the vehicle after mounting the cover you can still access the cabin without taking off the whole cover

I just got one for my swift and it cost me INR 1100 in Mumbai, there are other items avaiable as well but I liked the wax coating on this one and the zipper feature.

Keep your car sufficiently waxed - this will allow small scratches to be borne by the wax instead of the paint. So easier to get back the new gleam of your car paint.

However, in my opinion, use of a car cover is a pain, and not worth the overall benefits, if your environment does not comprise of parking under trees or where branches etc will swipe your car, or pesky kids drawing stones or keys across the car...

In normal circumstances, to cover up your car for protection against normal fading is not worth it, as the side effect of scratches is equally ruinous...

You takes your chances or you takes your pains... and scratches for that matter... Smile

Mayb you can install those sensor based security systems? in that case if anyone tries to fidget with ur car the alarm would defintely scare him. I had a similar issue in my society everytime someone used to remove the air from one particular tyre (front right) at first I thought it might be a puncture, kept it under observation.. it did not deinflate again. I even installed a valve cap but somehow that arse used to steal those caps aswell as deinflate the whole tyre ! I then bought a electronic air pump (Rs 500) and whenever I found my tyre flat I would just fill it in ! . Eventually that person stopped the act .. I guess he might have got bored doing it ;)
