I am puntoing (MJD 1.3) in Hyderabad through thick traffic each day from Moula-Ali to Gachibowli via Anandbagh, AOC centre, Begumpet and Hitech City....and I am getting 15 Km/l flat (AC on often and on minimum). Driven only upto 300 Kms as of now. I guess the mileage should increase with run in of the engine.

There are some aesthetic problems now discovered in my Punto - the rubber lining encircling the door from inside of the car is peeling out, perhaps it is normally tightly sticking to the roof material with the help of some glue?

Also, the dual tone plastic sheet on the side pillars (from inside) is poorly joined, looks as if a cut and paste job. Is it normal, or am I too microscopic? Please enlighten me. Can I hide it with some stickers?

Dr Niyaz, even my door beading came out, I had to take to the ASC to get it fixed.

Take it to the ASC, they'll fix it for you free of cost.

Sandesh, 15K for a remote key is outrageous ! Are you sure it's 15 K ?

It is costly to get a replacement remote key as the whole locking system including locks, ignition, immobilizer and all is changed.

I think it must be and  am going by what the sales guy said.he said it would take upto one month for the key to arrive as well. May be another i20 asta owner on the forum can confirm this as well. On the key I see that its made in Korea. May be it has to be imported from Korea?

Anshum, I was talking about cost of replacement key only. The key on my Asta...got two of them.

15k just for the key?

I got my Honda Civics locks changed and got 2 remote keys for new ones for 17k including labour and taxes.

What is Hyundai aiming at?

Anshum,

RSA is infact a diwali offer - free of cost for Punto's only.

From this month it is being offered to Linea also till 30th Nov and for Punto it is only till 14th Nov.

Please reply me for any queries on the products and offers of Fiat for clarifications.

In fact Fiat did advertise the RSA,EW and free insurance as a diwali offer ( TOI sometime last month around Oct 20). So I was really expecting something from them - like a booklet or card.

The salesman said that they have the entry of my vehicle in the computer database and that would take care of the RSA, not sure how much that's correct.

I have encountered a new problem with one of the rear door handles in my punto - I need to lift it and practically stretch upwards to maximum (afraid it might break) and it finally opens in few attempts. It is too tricky to open as compared to other three doors. When approached the sales point they say - get remote central locking (RCL) done and we will fix it while installing the RCL, else you will have to contact our door technician. I have no plans to spend money on accessories for a while, so given up. I am learning to open the hardened door but I am too scared to the possibility that the handle may break. My driver opens it each time for me from inside! Actually it is quite OK to open the door from inside. Any idea how stubborn are the door handles?

Second thing - there are wide slits (gaps) on the sides in the boot door when closed; the gap is almost such that my index finger fixes in it. Is it some anomaly or that much 'play' is actually needed there?
