SX4 Crossover

Hi, Is Maruti planning launch of SX4 crossover in India? It seems to be doing well in US. In my thinking it can create a niche for itself in entry level SUV category at around 9 Lacs.(See www.suzukiauto.com/sx4_crossover)

Honestly speaking, I think fiat already has a SUV looking like the SX4. On the other hand why dont you look at fiat's global website to search for it. It was long back when I saw those pics, when I had bought 1 for my family ( I mean the sedan version of SX4).

The Fiat  Sedici and the SX4 was co-developed by GM-both are essentially the same car.

As Binoy says, its not exactly a Fiat.  In fact the Sedici and the SX4 are both essentially the same car co-developed by Fiat and Suzuki and designed by Italdesign.  I doubt if Italdesign had anything to do with the ugly sedan version in our market, though - the hatch looks great, the sedan looks awful.

The Fiat Sedici is manufactured by Suzuki at their plant in Hungary.
