I feel it will be priced slightly lower than Punto 1.4 and 10 to 15% lower than Swift ZXI

Dont know if the Ignis name will stick.

Suzuki might have a copyright on the same. See here.

Ignis is a model in Suzuki's stable while in Tata's case it is variant of the model Indica Vista - so it does not infringe on any copyright. Besides, Indian laws are different - Suzuki was not allowed to launch the "Ritz" as the "Splash" even though that is its international name as some other manufacturer in India had registered the name.

Wow...Ignis should be one the cars to be eagerly waited for...

According to (http://www.dancewithshadows.com/autoindia/tata-indica-vista-ignis-set-for-india-launch/ ),the pluses are:

1. ABS + EBD

2.Dual front Air Bags

3. 1.4 Litre Saffire engine, the same engine that is used to pwer the new Fiat Grande Punto, delivering 95 PS

4. An audio system with Bluetooth and USB interface

5. Steering mounted audio controls

Above all, the wesbite mentions this:

"The Tata Indica Vista Ignis is expected to be priced at Rs 4.5 – 5.0 lakhs".

Frankly, I doubt if Tata will offer it at such a price. But if they do then its unanimously the best VFM car.

Tata's unique USP is VFM. I expect this car will be reasonably priced.

The price cannot be in the Vista territory, so it would rather be a niche product.

I guess it would be priced above the vista, probably in the range of i20 or may be lil cheaper to compete with swift ZXI.
