I did  not mean 10 kmpl, but 10 less than 38kmpl ie;28kmpl  .And i also mentioned "on highways" for the same(28kmpl), in the braket in my above post.

Routine lives always doesn't mean in city, many people have their daliy run on highways.

Those figures were achieved  because they we trained driver, and they had their only aim to get best possible figures.Smile

It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning.

that is true anant. but still it was amazing to see that if you drive your car with care and maintain it throughout its life cycle, you can get amazing results out of it. not to mention, save loads of cash!

yes,

Ive noticed that many of us tend to skip regular service checks at our car stations to save us some money. what some dont realize is that this move backfires when the car starts performing poorly and the cost of operation per KM gradually increases. so regular service checks and optimum maintenence is the key to getting the best value out of your car.

right on shyam. spending money on regular checkups and servicing pays out bigtime in the long run. we spend less money later on in the future and get to maximize the performance of the car.

excellent thread you guys....i guess people will consider the COST OF OPERATIONS of a car before they plan to make a purchase...the ford cars seem to have the edge on this category in the sedan market. And after reducing the maintenence costs of the ford cars, especially car parts, im sure ford will be able to grab even a further share in the sedan segment......
