TATA is all set for a new SUV/MUV called INDICRUZE. had seen it being tested on Pune roads many times but was not sure which car it was. couldnt take pics also since I was riding my bikeFrown. Take a look at this article:-

It can be said without a doubt that Tata Motors are growing big both at the domestic and the world stage. With many exciting launches planned ahead Tata Motors is definitely playing it right. Tata Motors is coming up with an exciting new launch close on the heels of the huge publicity it has managed by launching the Tata Nano. Tata Indicruz is the new Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) which will add glitter to the already impressive portfolio of Tata Motors. The launch of the Tata Indicruz which is expected around the month of August will compete against the existing players in the MPV space like the popular Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo. Tata Indicruz is said to be based on the platform of the popular Tata Safari and will sport the 2.2 litre Dicor Engine. Tata Motors will have to aggressively market this MPV to win over competition from Toyota and Mahindra in the MPV segment.

Its headlights are very  similar to vista(rather same!) and its body shape is similar to innova(if its the same which is in the picture in the website), what do you guys think?

Innova will have another competitor.

It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning.

I don't think so. Innova has created its own niche market. You can hardly find any fault in it. We all know that Tata's products are not faultless & almost all Tata products had teething problems. Also brand positioning plays very impotant role. Tata & Mahindra are no where near it.

By no means here i am trying to degrade any manufacturer or any product . Xylo is successful so hope Indicruze will do the same for Tata.

Again pricing will play a huge role in its success. Xylo is a success mainly because of its pricing as compared to Innova and Tavera. At 10 lakhs, Indicruze is much costlier than Xylo. Xylo will always remain a VFM (Value for Money) proposition for buyers.
