Ooty Vintage Rally 2009

these pics of the car rally from pallakad to ooty are really cool and the rally itself looks to be a real adventure.

there were some amazing rallies which weere held in India in this year and among them the Raid De Himalaya rally attracted me a lot and when i saw the pictures of the same i was amazed by it completely, and would like to put it up here if anyone's interested.

Is it a Willys MB or a Ford GPW ? Please give me some more information about it. Just FYI... the grill on your JEEP is incorrect. Please replace it with the original 9 slot one. I will help you in finding one.

I would be more than happy to help you for this masterpiece. You can drop in a mail to sabaareesh2000[at]yahoo[dot]com, or a better option would be to start a thread on the forum about this JEEP so that everyone would be benefitted. I would love to see more photographs especially under the hood, engine block, chassis, front crossmember etc.

If I am not mistaken, this JEEP was restored in Bangalore couple of months back by a person who has a beetle and a volkswagen bus.

Yeah, you are right. It was restored by Ryan in Bangalore.

And regarding the pictures, i shall do them once i reach coimbatore. The jeep is in Coimbatore and currently i'm in Chennai. I will be going there only during the Christmas weekend. Will start a new thread and post them.
