Hi Guys,

I have 4 channel JVC amps with sony sub woofer and sony ovals speakers. I get engine noise in the Oval and Sub. When i enquired they said condensor need to be installed to solve this. Why do we get this noise. What is the job of the condensor.

I have many cars without condensor but no engine noise. Please explain.

Thanks

Venkatesh

@Kalyan - agree with Aditya...its more a grounding issue. A condenser (capacitor) will only be a stop-gap solution. Another problem could be that the amp is picking up electrical interference from the engine - this is again due to grounding or some other fault within the amp.

Hi Kalyana, Get the wiring inspected thoroughly, the issue of noise interference may also be with the quality of wiring used and if there are any cuts in the wiring.

Also while you are at it-consider upgrading the gauge of the wires.
