Indica Vista Quadrajet fully loaded according to me is the best value for money, if you can manage with the central mounted console, Swift VDI if you are looking for bit of extra performance and want to do further modifications, Indigo CS if you are looking for a Sedan.

You may consider from Swift, Ritz & Vista - all have the same/engine performance.  If you want sedan, could consider Ikon DT.

In your budget (on-road cost Rs.6 lac), you can get Swift or Ritz with ABS.  Vista, though it does not offer ABS, has better/more features than Swift/Ritz.  Vista can be considered as VFM for its pricing/package & the luxurious space/comfort it offers.

Ikon is also a very good car.  Performance is very good (the above 3 would perform better).  Ikon has better handling/braking.

All the 4 cars generally return mileage of 16-18 in city & 20-22 on highway (depending upon the driving conditions & style).

Have a look at the comparison amongst the 4 cars - go through the Specifications, Features & All Features.  Check pricing/discounts locally.

The base version of i20 Diesel will cost more than Rs.7 lac (on-road price) - exceeding the budget by more than Rs.1 lac.

Getz CRDi 1.5 (within the budget) is a very good car but has not been very successful. It also suffers from poor resale value.  It doesn't have as many features as Vista/Swift/Ritz have.

Here's a link/reference to the above 2 cars.

being a ritz owner for 2months now, i would strongly suggest Ritz Vdi for you. it is a nice car. If you travel long distance with four or five people frequently, i would suggest Vista though. The rear leg room is really good in vista.

If you have a small family, and often travel with 3 or less passengers, then Ritz will be my recommendation.

Top End model of Vista will cost you 5 while Ritz will cost u 5.6 in Delhi ,

back seats are super luxury in Vista, not in Ritz. More space in Vista.

Ritz looks good from front , different ! from back. Vista ok from both side.

Tachometer is badly placed in Ritz.

Suspension is slightly better in Indica than Maruti.

Taking all things , Vista is slightly better than Ritz, not much.

For Diesel Punto is the best VFM

Punto > Ritz > Swift  > Vista (i20 D is too costly for the offerings)
