Hi anant..

even i am looking for a good horn for my wagon R. the shopwala told a price of 450 rupees for a 12V horn. he said the name of the company is seed or something like that. they provide you with warranty also.

but one my friend says that we need to put 2 horns with the help of relays and thats the best thing we can do. but i dont know whether to trust him or not.

can you throw some light on it. the one you tested.. the bosch one.. what was its voltage marking?

All horns for fitment to cars will be rated at 12V.

Bosch, roots and Minda are good companies. Personally always had an inclination for Stebel horns, the Nautilis series is a personal fav.The cost for the same would be around the 1.2K mark.

Two horns can be used together and its always advisable for put in replay to safeguard the electricals.

ok m sorry for calling the horn as seeds..its roots actually. i got confused in the plant like terminology. guffaws...

jokes apart, i just now went to my carwala n he said that i can get roots horn (a set of two) for just Rs.450. but they giving warranty for just 3 months.

but my friend enquired from his shopwala n they say Rs800 with 2 year warranty. i will obviously go with the latter one but why so much differnce in the price and quality..

is my carwala having duplicate items... haw...

Roots spider horns are good. They sound pleasant and less louder than roots vibrasonic normally suggested car accessory shops. You can also try roots windtone horns, which will sound like skoda horns. Check these links for details. Spider Horns and Windtone horns.

Buy original and it is advisable to add relays like Binoy had mentioned

Dhruv i posted my post, 1 month back and enquired at the same time,so i don't remember the details.May be some other can help in your query.

For my query (just an update) , some thing had gone wrong with my stock horn, so i wanted a new horn and so i thought of an upgrade. But we have managed to get an old swift horn from local  mechanic and its working fine.
