By looking at the comparison sent by centaur, I see that i10 magna 1.2 has got more features when compared to ritz. Only drawback that I find in i10 is the space issue. Price is also less when compared to ritz. The total on-road price of i10 magna 1.2 in bangalore is 4,60,821 and ritz is 4,90,704

Is i10 magna 1.2 the better option? shall i go with it?Undecided

It seems, OTR price you mentioned for i10 Magna does not include any discount and offer.  Recently, I read on some other thread that people are getting i10 Sportz for 4.3 to 4.4 lakh OTR in Delhi, may be someone will provide the link.  Since, you live in Bangalore, ASS is not an issue for both cars.

Please see, a recent i10 Magna deal in Bangalore for your reference.  You might be able to do better with some other new discounts.

17kmpl from Ritz is not acceptable. I dont think one can get 17 from Ritz in City, Yeah on highway its possible to get 17+ from Ritz. Actually highway mileage of i10 is around 18kmpl. Infact, most of the cars will give u in the range of 17-18kmpl on highways. I got 18.6kmpl from Spark. But I heard this K-series engine is Fuel efficient (Example is a*).

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Friends, a lot of people have this good confusion on selecting either i10/ritz/swift in the 4.5-5 lakhs bracket..I too had the same confusion and having driven all the three vehicles properly around 1000 kms , i can share some real good thoughts that might help many of you.. My dad bought Ritz vxi (without ABS) and one of my uncles an i10 sportz ..The ritz if now one month old,,infact we were one of the firstmost costumers who bought it...I will clasify the car in various section to ease out the differences; (iam considering other cars too in some cases apart from the three we are interested)

LOOKS EXTERIORS ;

  1.  i20  especially the white one
  2. Swift
  3. i10
  4. Ritz

Having said that ritz stands in teh fourth place is no damper, as after a month after buying ritz i now defenetely feel it standing very unique in the crowd..its front and side views are amazing,,better that swift and i10. from sides it looks very europianish...the rear is okie,,,(not ugly for me) ,,had the rear bumber been a lil more streached to add the extra sporty look with a straight  top rather than reclining, it would had beeen even bette. Anyways guys pls dont call teh rear of ritz as ugly,, if called so , you are not aware of europian styling , we indians need some time to get used to this new rear design. thats all

INTERIORS;

  1. i10
  2. ritz
  3. swift

Maruti is no match  for hyundai in this dept. But in ritz the quality of interiors is far better than what we seen in swift, but still way back when compared to i10

FOR RACING GUYS;

  1. swift
  2. ritz
  3. i10

FE ;

  1. ritz (i have checked after my first service and i got a clear 16 kms mileage with full ac on in VIZAG traffic..trust me,,iam not joking )
  2. i10 (around 13-14 with sport engine)
  3. 12

The ritz has the new k -series engine which is awesome and amazing.the best engine i have seen in hatchbacks to driv in city traffic. It has a low torque and i commuted easily in my 3rd gear in slow moving traffics, something which i havent managed in either swift or i10.The new engine is a big crowd puller in ritz though it lacks in many other dept when compared to i10 and swift.

No. of features and goodies;

  1. i10
  2. ritz
  3. swift

Rear LEG ROOM  SPACE;

  1. i10
  2. swift/ritz

TOTAL SPACE OVERALL

  1. ritz ( with extra space coming from the tall boy design)
  2. i10
  3. swift

DRAWBACKS OF RITZ;

  1. blind spot while turning right
  2. camped rear view

Overall guys, when people complain ritz is ugly, dont trust them. It might not look great or good, but is defenetl not bad or ugly and with tiem you might even start liking it. But having said that, we dont buy cars just for bauty or looks sake.

  • So if you want power, just power to cruze the roads, go and buy a swift.
  • If you want better FE and some decent modern car to drive in the city , get a RITZ
  • IF you want  good feminish interiors, clubbed with many intelligently spaced features go for i10.

Hi ,

I have recently taken i10 magna 1.2 on 25th june,after reseacrching lot of cars.Ritz in terms looks is personal choice.In terms of fetures at that price point i10 offers all 4 power windows,very good interiors and a veru good engine specs almost similar to Ritz.I tool i10 as it had more features and discounts od 14k insurance and exchange bonus of 15k  for my alto.I am driving the car from past 2 weeks FE is coming around 12 to 13kms(AC 40%) in city.
