New Swift

Read from some other forum that new Swift is round the corner.  Can anybody guess when it will be launched and what will be its features.

Iam not referring to Swift Glam. I am talking about all new Suzuki Swift which has more wheel base and I read from the forum that the vehicle is undergoing tests in some icy scandinavian country.

I did read sometime back that all Maruti cars are going in for a facelift. Also if it is being tested abroad chances are there that it could be for the international market and not the Indian ones. Maybe some other member could comment about the new revamped swift as I aint heard of one. Sorry about that!

Iam posting the details which I found in different forum talking about the new 2010 Swift.  Also some photos from the website. Can anyone throw some more information.

The all new Suzuki Swift has been testing in the snow, ahead of an apparent Autumn 2010 launch at the Paris Motor Show. UK auto magazine EVO caught the car being tested. Maruti will follow the launch of the new Swift in India with its global launch. From the looks of it, the new Suzuki Swift seems alot bigger with more interior space and a bigger boot.

thanks for the Info. more than the ground cclearance, rear row space is what maruti needs to work on for the swift. It will sell in huge numbers if the rear row seating gets comfortable.

The Suzuki Swift was launched worldwide in 2005 and a replacement is due in 2010. With cars inthe  B segment becoming bigger, Suzuki doesn’t want to stay behind. The 2010 Suzuki Swift was spied yet again undergoing testing but this time on the road. The car surely looks bigger with huge rear view mirrors. We can’t really say much yet and will have to wait till further information surfaces.

I Guess these pics are from 1.6L(or is it 1.5L) swift Sport, which are sold in the International market, which were due for an upgrade in 2010

@Sathya: The version sold in Dubai has a 1.5 engine.
