Alto LX - audio / accessories etc.

hi all, i bought a new alto lx without audio system, since i thought the pricing was expensive. the offer was sony with usb and two front speakers for 9,900. i want to buy a system for my cars with only two speakers in front. please advice me to get the system some where around 5k. please let me know how much average to expect with ac in city. is it necessary to go for teflon coating, engine waxing, antirust for a new car?

Alto generally returns mileage of 15-17 in city & 19-21 on highway (depending upon driving conditions & style).  With 100% AC, you can expect 15 in city & 19 on highway (speed not exceeding 80-85).

Anti-rust/under chassis is good (in long run). For Alto it may cost in the range of 1-1.5K.

Teflon coating is basically for shiny/wet looks.  It gradually wears-off in 2-3 years.  The money could be better utilised.  Engine waxing is NOT at all required. Instead of spending on these 2 items, I would suggest you spend that much more on Music System - buy a better one (8-10K).

I'm not very conversant with Music System etc.  Others will be able to guide you better.

The basic audio system needs budget of atleast 9000. I have Pioneer 3050UB(with USB) + JBL 938. Its having a good sound. Total expenditure 9300.

Pioneer HU is far better than Sony. In speaker again JBL better than sony.

Do add 4'' speakers in the front.

thanks for the response. i have another question about my car, my rear window makes lot of noise whenever the speed is around 20-30 on 4th or 5th gear. this is when you come across speed breaker and you do not change gear. is it normal or there is some problem with the fittings.

Get the door glasses aligned (dealer shouldn't charge for it).

please let me know how important is teflon coating? antirust ? silencer powder coating? engine waxing? i did it for my new car and i paid 7,800 since i wasent aware of it and i blindly trusted the dealer. please let me know the details because my uncle is buying a new alto lx. i am confused should i suggest him or not.

As discussed before (post 2), antirust coating is good (long run) - rest are not required.
