Hi all,

I am a newbee here. I was impressed by the knowledge of the master on all subjucts and decided to join and ask a question.

I will be getting a new ZXI ritz this week end or by monday next week. I didnt like the factory fitted alloy wheel and want to change it. (185 /70 R 14) So here goes my question

   1. The dealer offered 14k for the set of 5 alloy wheels. Is this an okay price? Can you suggest the maximum price that i might get for the factory fitted one?

   2. I like black alloy and want to put that in my car . How many spoke should i go for ?

Can you suggest a proper alloy wheel and tyres for my car (has to be within warrenty)

   3. Though not about tyres. I want to change the Audio also (since the factory fitted one does not have USB input) The dealer offered 8k for the same. Is this ok and can any one suggest a player with a usb that comes within 10k

Thanks in advance

Warm welcome to CW and congrats on your new wheels.

1. The price is on the lower side. But I guess that is the max you can get. They susually sell it for 4-5k per wheel.

2. Spokes based on personal preferences. A 6 spoke wheel would be good.

3. 8-10k will get you an excellent audio system from outside. The HU will play better, have USB and ipod support etc.

Pioneer 7150 would be a good option.

Congrats Georgin!!

While replacing your music system, do remember to take 2 DIN HU other wise it will make your dash look awkward. See similar models.. JVC KW-XG700, SONY WX-GT77UI. Dont knw the prices exactly, but i guess it will be around 10-13K. Also check the compatibility of  the steetring mounted audio controls with the new system.

Most of the audio systems available in India doesn't have support for steering audio buttons.

2DIN's looks good but the ones currently available in India are all about bells and whistles. So they are not VFM. If you can source one from outside it would be great.

Keeping the factory fitted HU is a wise decision. I guess replacing the speakers with good ones can increase the sound quality.

Regarding alloys i guess 15-20K for 5 set is the market price. But since yours is the factoy fitted ones, i guess some users (vxi or lxi) may be interested. I'm not sure but i'm giving a guess. Just advtise it and see you can get any response.

Tyres - retain your OEM ones. If you are still keen on changing tyres then do look at Michelin XM1+

Alloys: Aura/HR/Plati/Apollo - These have good designs. Will cost 18-20k for a set of 5.
