Hello Friends,

A very urgent reponse required. I am planning for a rooftop halogen lamps to assist in night drives. The basic reason is that the route I travel is under golden-quadrilateral and thus most of the part of my 800 Km trip, the roads are digged for four-lanning, so its very difficult to travel in night times. My queries are:

1. Is it legal to have these lights on my car? Do we need any special RTO permissions or is it against any rules?

2. I know about HELLA 500, is there any other good brand or any other halogen lights suggested? The price quoted for this is 1400 pair and 1650 pair, by two diff dealers.

3. Is there any specific shop in hyderabad who do this fitting? I have tried with 4-5 shops but most of them are not much sure of this fitment.

Thanks in advance for quick reply.

I got the existing lamps replaced with Philips 100/130 bulb (I dont remember the exact rating but I guess was this only). It did not help much. Infact got fused on a weeks time even after having a seperate cut-out placed.

And I generally travel 700+ KMs distance, so generally its dark already before i reach destination. Also, due to 4 laning in progress in most part of the country...roads are not good...specially the diversions here and there. And these lights are not suffiecient in such situations. Most of the time I end up screeching my tyres at the last moment, which is not good at all

Any other options please, if roof-top is illegal. Thanks for all the inputs.

If nothing is feasible then may be I would go for it.
