Cutting the metal panel did the trick. Complete speaker cone is now visible from the trunk, unlike the magnets before. Thanks Arun.

Overall the combination of speakers is giving me the filling experience on every note.

Infact, the rear is so improved now that the front is getting lost . I am now fading it a bit to get the balance.

If I move to a 4 channel amp from currently 2 channel, what will be the improvement?

Won't then they dominate even more than they do now?

Is there a way I can use the rear speaker for more bass and the fronts for mids and high?

hi anurag,

I am glad that the install is now corrected. Running rears will always pull your sound stage back.

I think your hu gives you twp pre outs (pls check and confirm this) You can get a 4ch amp and connect the pre outs to the amp. From your HU you would select HPF for fronts at 80hz. This means the front comps would play all frequencies above 80hz. Actually they would play down till about 60hz since the default cut off slope on your hu is 12db/oct.

For your rearsselect LPF from your hu. Set it at about 63hz. Now your 691's at the back will only play all frequencies below 70-75hz. Your 691's would function like 2 subs. Smile

This is one way of doing it, the other is to hpf for both front and rears and fade forward till you get the right balance. Try it both ways and see which you prefer.

Good to know about the updates.

A 4 channel will make the polks more lively. But the sound will have to be shifted much to the front to get a better balance.

Hi Arun,

I was not able to figure out how to do it from the HU.

I have now installed Blaupunkt Mk2 series 4 channel Amp and removed my 2 channel amp.

The impact is just awsome.

Any tips on its tuning would be most welcome.

Currently I also hear a hissing sound when no song is playing or if I am playing at low volumes.
