Hi Shilendra,

Here are some details that might be helpful.

Full floor mat PVC - Rs 800 best quality they are transparent mats really lasts long.

seat cover - go for Ryder covers, get them from Mumbai and get them fixed in your city. they are the best and cheapest option, comes in PU, half leather, half PU and full leather, go for which ever suits you the best. visit www.ryderleather.com for contact details.

foglamps - Comes around Rs. 1500 to Rs.2000 for standard quality.

Door Sill guards - Not sure of the price.

Door Edge Guards - might be around Rs.500

You have to check the exact prices at some car accessories shop in your city.

Hi Shahin,

Thanks for your suggestions.

Could you please let me know which seat covers are best (PU, half leather, half PU and full leather) in terms of maintenance, cost, durability etc?

Some of acceessary shop person told me that to fit PVC floor mat they remove the seats completely and then put the PVC floor mats so that it can cover the whole floor area. Is it so? Do I need to go to Hyundai dealer to get the PVC floor done or the local accessary shops are fine?

Thanks

Shilendra

Hi Shilendra

The best is the full leather seat covers, they are most expensive of all seat covers and most durable. You have to clean it once a year if it gets dirty. Not much cost to maintain it. Price will be around 16 to 17 k for Ryder covers, Stanley Ovion may be around 25k or so. It is the luxury option. It will last easily for over 5 years.

Half Pu and half leather are the economy option. Price should be around 13k for Ryder. In this the back rest and the seat will be of leather and PU on the sides. It will also last around 4 to 5 years.

Full PU covers are the cheapest option. It will last around 2 to 3 years if PU quality is good. Ryder prices should be around 4k. Nothing much in terms of maintenance cost. Got to clean it once a year or as it gets dirty.

If you want to go for long durability go for full leather covers, if you want durabilty plus cost effectiveness go for half PU , half leather and if you want only the cheapest ones go for full pu. Leather is a breathable material , comortable to sit and gives a good feel. PU just imitates leather and is not breathable material but quite alright in terms of comfort.

I think you should not go for PVC flooring as the company flooring is more than enough. Just put pvc or pu foot mats thats it. Changing the flooring is of no use , just by placing the foot mats the flooring will be protected thats it. So go for foot mats only.

Hi Shahin,

I talked to ryderleather guys. They are asking Rs. 4K for PU seat covers. Appart from this, the courier charge will be extra. Is this price is OK?

I selected one of the color available on their website. It camel color: http://www.ryderleather.com/products.htm

Please suggest me if some other color will look good? My car color is white http://www.carwale.com/community/photos/myphotos/ViewAlbumPhotos.aspx?AlbumId=806 and as u know interior of i10 is of beige color.

In PU, is their any further type?

Thanks.

Hi Shilendra,

The prices are ok. It is cheaper than other brands of PU seat covers.

You would get PU covers of other brands for around Rs 5,500.

These prices are ok but you can try to bargain a bit. If they do give some more discount its good else these are good prices.

No their are no other types of PU covers , these are the best you can get.

If you want more better quality go for the half leather covers, else in the cheapest range these are the best you can get. There are local made covers also but they will tear apart in 1 year , so no use buying those go for PU covers.

Shilendra they have many colours and combinations available. You must have seen on the Ryder website. Camel or beige would look good to go with your beige interiors. Whatever colour you go for , should match your beige interiors thats it. If you go for combination of colours the price will increase so better go for single colour. Rest is upto you, what you like best go for it.

Hi Shahid,

I did not get time to get the covers done. I still in search.

Last Sunday, I enquired at 2-3 shops for PU seat covers. They are offering in 4K including fitting charges. So I think this is better option instead getting rider's PU covers from Mumbai & then get them fixed here. I also calculated the total cost involved for rider's covers:

Price: 4K , Courier Chnarges: 1K appx., Fitting Charges: 500

Total: 5500.

I thin the one which are available in Bangalore is good option.

One of guy saw me the Europa Micro-Fibre Velvet covers. You can see them at http://www.indiamart.com/elegant/europa.html#europa-microfibre-velvet-car-seat-covers

These covers were looking good. They were made up of Micro-Fibre Velvet + PU.

He was asking for 5200 including fitting charges. he will come down to 5K.

I am still confuge which option is really good.

Thanks

Shilendra

Hi Shilendra,

Thanks for your quick reply. I suggest you not to go for velvet covers , they look good alright but you will not be able to clean them once they get dirty. When velvet goes dirty you will make it more dirty in the process of cleaning it. If you are being offered 4k with fitting go for it. Ryder covers are of gauranteed quality but if you are not going for Ryder then the second best brand is Autoform go for it. Its also a good brand. Check for Autoform riviera fix skin fit seat covers , they are the second best option. Prices should be around 4k or so just check them out and go for them. Best option would be go to the distributor directly in Bangalore. Check autoform website for details.
