What accessories to go for

The accessories will cost you much cheaper from outside - almost by 20-25% - check/compare the prices (after discounts).

Ensure that the accessory shop is good & reliable.  Workmanship will not be a problem, as they sell/fit much more than dealers do.

Regarding the accessories, I'd say that the Maruti dealers in general provide most of the basic accessories(except Central locking,stereo..) .Bargain hard with the dealer before making any payment to him.

Yes Amit.Its excellent and exhaustive. I actaully took a print out and checked everything thoroughly. The sales guys may be irratated but you should not get deterred, after all its your money!!

          I have got a final quote from the dealer on the accessories following are the items I would go for with their prices

1) Rubber/Carpets/PVC mats  - Rs. 375

2) Mud Flaps - Rs 250

3) Side Body Mouldings - Rs 1350

4) Sun Control film - Rs 1550

5) Central Door Locking - Rs 5375

6) Wheel Covers - Rs 1180

7) Sony Sterio (Mp3 + USB) - Rs 8990

8) Speakers front/Rear 4"/6" - Rs 3903

9) Reverse Horn - Rs. 150

10) Air Freshner - Rs 165

11) Seat Covers (Leather) - Rs 3990

12) Dicky Mat - Rs. 220

13) Coating (Teflon + Anti Rust) - Rs. 7500

total comes around 34000 and he is rounding off to 30K .... Can you guys plz carry out the painstacking task of letting me know whether any of these items is rightly quoted by the dealer or is it ok if I go out to buy these stuff.
